We crafted our single-style abbey ale with select roasted malts, a hint of Belgian sugar, and a touch of wheat for a rich, caramel flavor and a wonderfully smooth toffee finish. Itís perfect for those chilly winter days.

Decent looking amber colored ale. A very sweet flavor full of caramel, brown sugar, toffee, an nutmeg. A spicy finish that is very short. Too sweet for my taste but nothing really offensive. Calling this an Abbey ale is a gimmick though.

12 ounce bottle. Massive tan head due to an over-aggressive pour by me. Light brown body. Sweet caramel nose with a touch of soapy yeast. Toffee, caramel, mostly what youíd expect from a generic version of an abbey. Metallic afterbite. Medium body and carbonation. I didnít have high expectations of this to begin with, so no surprise here. Like others have mentioned; not great, but not too bad either. Drinkable.

Meh. Tastes like a sweeter Blue Moon White Belgian to me. Nothing special here. Not bad, but not great either. Could be more yeasty or have more malt. Kind of artificially sweet in a way.

bottled - I donít know if Iíd call this a Belgian ale but with that being said, itís not half bad. Nice amber color and pretty good flavor - better than a regular Blue Moon.

Pours a dark copper color with a thin beige head. Good balance of sweet, bitter, and alcohol. Nice caramel/toffee aroma alongside roasted malt.

Bottle from variety pack. Amber pour with minimal off-white head. Caramel in the nose, some vcandi sugar. Thin palate, charred toffee.

From a 12 oz bottle from a sampler pack. Flavor is water mixed with fairly pleasant malt, some odd collection of spices, and caramelized wheat. More of a milk chocolate finish than toffee. However, overwhelmingly very wet and bland. Not offensive, but not great.

Fresh bottle marked APR1315, a twist-off. Nose dusty caramel and a little cracker, grainy, seems pretty dry, has some Sam Adamís like house flavor. Touch of fusel and candyish esters from the yeast. Pours deep, dark brown-red, like a Dubbel, but thinner, with a noisy and fizzy beige head. Taste is sweet and fruity, not sugary, but the alcohol is uncontrolled and enhances the sweet-raw flavor. Overripe fruit, somewhat grainy with strong alcohol warmth, lightly airy yeast character, and phenols and esters that are turned up. Sticky, lightly oily medium body, drinks pleasantly when you go quickly, sort of like a cordial, otherwise nah, brah.

Bottle from Rite Aid: Aroma is faint and almost non- existent but some sweet malt are there. The flavor is bland with the primary flavor being a sweet base of syrupy malts and a minor note of cheap artificial Belgian yeast. Appearance was a solid mahogany brown with tiny amount of foam. Taste watered down for being a Belgian beer style but the alcohol warmth the beer gives off does seem fitting.

Actually a very, very good beer despite the ratings. True to the style in aroma and flavor. My score is partially biased due to the fact that I didnt expect it to taste as good as it does. Hands down Best beer of the blue moon brand.

Sweet almost make noise with a but of skunk. Mild carbonation. Fairly sweet in the mouth, maple and toffee. Finishes a but sweet and musty. Drinkable, unremarkable. Would be a decent post ski drink I guess.
