2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Clear garnet pour with a thin, soapy tan head. Aroma of toast, fruity esters and caramel. Flavor is caramel, toffee, fruity cough syrup, light metallic notes and sweet cherry. Light, thin body, with a slightly oily entry, medium strength, sharp carbonation and off dry finish. Meh, probably one of the better Blue Moon products I have sampled, but still not all that good.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
The color is a clear chestnut color with a medium off-white head, and the aroma blends a heavy dough yeast with a hint of caramel malts. The taste is mildly sour and a touch sweet, and the palate fuses an average carbonation, medium body, thin texture, and a lightly sour finish.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle, room 212, 19/02/14. White lidded mahogany. Malt loaf with strawberry jam nose. Malt loaf studded with black cherry; light nuttiness and rusk in the afters. Sweet and inoffensive in a dobbelbock diluted with cheap tinned brown bitter kind of way.

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured from a bottle into a plastic cup with an orange slice at a hockey game. Better than expected. Slightly dark amber, citrus and malt, slight carbonation.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Drinkable but flawed. The most important observation is that it has a pronounced sweetness alomg with its caramel flavor. Belgian but only in an American way, like a saccharin Disney style interpretation of Belgium at Epcot Center.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Pours a clear amber body under a one finger tight bubbled off-white head that faded fairly quickly to a thin ring. The nose is rather generically íBelgianí in nature, some sweet candi sugar, light caramel, a touch of yeastiness, a little fruitiness. Smells a bit like a thin Abbey Dubbel. The flavor is a bit thin with some soggy grainy notes. Not a whole lot of character to this one, just some thin caramel sweetness and dark wheat. Minimal influence from the yeast. Light to medium bodied with a little bit of stickiness on the finish and soft fizzy carbonation. Quite a bland and boring beer.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours I don't know because I drank from a bottle. Aroma is funky fruit. Flavor is sweet and spicy not too bad.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Draft to taster. Looks solid; a transparent golden orange with white head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells of Belgian yeast with a sweet backbone and notes of caramel. Tastes like it smells with what seems to be a bit of vegetal flavor. Average (at best) on the palate. Eh.

Nothing here move on. Terrible example of the style and an insult to beer (almost)

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
12 oz. bottle. Pours a deep copper color, almost reddish. Aroma of malt, banana and spices. Rather bland flavor of malt and spices. Medium light body with a sweet finish. Iíve had much better in the way of Abbey-style ales.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
I donít know why I get my hopes up with these beers. Maybe, itís because I want one of these macro-brewers to grow a pair and brew something great and exciting. This was like Coors with a Belgian twist. It wasnít offensive mind you, just bland. The aroma was faint and grainy and had a hint of adjuncts. Caramel brown color with a small fizzy head. Watery palate with high carbonation. Not much weight. It had this underlying Coors malt flavor with some caramel sweetness at the finish. Tolerable.
