Pale Moon is a drinkable pale ale that has a distinctive hop aroma without the lingering aftertaste. This Belgian-Style Pale Ale is brewed with European malts, Cascade hops, and a touch of hibiscus and orange peel. These ingredients create a rich copper colored ale with a flavor complexity that one would expect from the Blue Moon Brewing Company.

Straight from the bottle at a party. Only hints of coriander and other characteristics of Belgian ales. It is not offensive, but not really too good.

Clear, amber red in color with a thin, white head. Very little lacing. Smells of bad hops. Slight aroma of vanilla and citrus. It almost smells Luke a stale flat beer. Light-bodied beer. Soft carbonation. The finish is very abrupt. Watery texture. It taste of a little salt and of baking soda toothpaste. Not my finest beer I have had lately but for the price I will not complain.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel. Thanks kerenmk. As Blue Moon Belgian-style Pale Ale. Hazy orange. Slightly fruity aroma with a bit of stale floral hops and some malt, slightly caramelly. Sweetish flavor with malt some fruitiness, caramel and a slightly drier finish. Medium-bodied. Drinkable.

Long Island, NY - 12 oz. bottle, Belgian styled Coors eh? Well maybe. This one pours a slightly hazy amber color with good white head, no lacing. Aroma is faintly hoppy. Taste has hints of Belgian spices but all together this is just a sliver of what a really Belgian Pale Ale should be. I would drink this over anything else coming out of the Coors conglomerate. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear copper amber with a thin foamy head. Nice nose of dusty toffee, pale grain sweetness, orange peel hops, and something slightly herbal. Flavor has some nice sweetness to it, with lots of caramel and belgian pale malt flavors coming through, just a hint of fruity dustiness, some pale fruit tones, and finishing with a little hoppy bitterness with citrus peel and gentle toffee tones coming back. Pretty dang outstanding from Blue Moon.

Bottle. Belgian yeast is there. Mild hop aroma and flavor, with some citrus. The flavor is ok, but far too light. And the same is true of the palate.

12 oz. 2012 bottle served in a Unibroue snifter. Pours clear deep amber with a tan head that has limited durability but leaves fine lacing on on the glass. The sweet aroma is malty with hints of toffee, orange and vague spices. The flavor is a little subdued but nicely crafted -- the hallmark of Blue Moon. Both the aroma and the flavor are slightly floral. Belgian yeast is apparent but certainly not pronounced. Light-medium body with good medium carbonation. O: slightly above average. Best suited for transitional (towards craft beers) beer drinkers.
