3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Clear copper amber with a thin foamy head. Nice nose of dusty toffee, pale grain sweetness, orange peel hops, and something slightly herbal. Flavor has some nice sweetness to it, with lots of caramel and belgian pale malt flavors coming through, just a hint of fruity dustiness, some pale fruit tones, and finishing with a little hoppy bitterness with citrus peel and gentle toffee tones coming back. Pretty dang outstanding from Blue Moon.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Belgian yeast is there. Mild hop aroma and flavor, with some citrus. The flavor is ok, but far too light. And the same is true of the palate.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz. 2012 bottle served in a Unibroue snifter.
Pours clear deep amber with a tan head that has limited durability but leaves fine lacing on on the glass. The sweet aroma is malty with hints of toffee, orange and vague spices. The flavor is a little subdued but nicely crafted -- the hallmark of Blue Moon. Both the aroma and the flavor are slightly floral. Belgian yeast is apparent but certainly not pronounced. Light-medium body with good medium carbonation.
O: slightly above average. Best suited for transitional (towards craft beers) beer drinkers.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
There is no real difference between this and the regular ole Blue Moon. Not a bad beer by any means but don’t think you’re getting something special just because it looks different.

2.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
This bottled brew from a grocery store poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized tan colored bubbles that were quickly diminishing and left behind a softly carbonated transparent light orange brown colored body and a good lacing. The mild aroma was malty. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The mild flavor contained notes of nutty caramel hops and malt. An OK brew just nothing special.

12oz bottle at Mom’s. Rating #290. Clear copper color with a white head. Decent amount of hop aroma, piney with a touch of sweetness. Light lemon and hop flavor, very drinkable and not too bad. (2610)
