UPDATED: SEP 11, 2010 a delightful brew especially for the season. hint of grape like sweet flavor in a citrus hop profile. almost creamy due to a caramel like sweetness, with a coriander and flowery profile that only wafts though in the taste. i was somewhat surprised by this one as it is a macro treat! easy malt presence that blends in well.

A fantastic new bber from the makers of Blue Moon. Caramel flavors with the usual citris flavor of Blue Moon. Darker amber color with a white to copper head. Smooth start and finish; not as bitter as a lot of pale ales!

Pours clear orange-copper with a large white head and lots of carbonation streaming up from inside. Smells malty, hints of bread or cereal, maybe toast, and a bit of caramel or toffee, and very faint hop aroma is also present. Taste has a lot more bitterness, comparatively, than the nose indicated, while still keeping the malty character. Medium-bodied with a slick, slimy texture and little mouth-carbonation, Blue Moon Pale Moon finishes strangely, can’t place the word for it, but different; almost syrupy and fruity. I’m not sure if I’d call this a Belgian ale, it’s more like a pale ale; maybe they should just make a style selection for "Belgian Pale Ale" like "American Pale Ale" and "English Pale Ale".

A copper pour with white head. It has a moderately hoppy nose made up of pine and some faint citrus. The taste is crisp and mildly sweet. There is some slight bitterness leading up to a smooth malt finish.

Blue Moon Pale Ale has a pretty thick, off-white head and a clear, amber appearance with lots of streaming bubbles, but not a lot of lacing. The aroma is sweet and similar to brown bread. Taste is likewise sweet, malty, brown bread, caramel, and a very light hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is mostly watery, and Blue Moon Pale Moon finishes fairly dry and quite drinkable. Overall, this is a very good beer, and I recommend it. RJT

12 oz bottle. Pours coppery in color with a thick soapy head that diminishes quickly. Smells of cascade hops, very piney, with some hints of wheat and molasses. Tastes piney, spruce like, with some orange rind citrus, and honey and molasses sweetening it up for some balance. Aftertaste is bitter ans sweet. Pretty good stuff.

~Grassy, earthy hop aroma with honey and wheat, light citrus.
~Pours a clear golden amber color with small creamy diminishing white head.
~Earthy spice hop flavor with sweet biscuity malt backbone. Good balance.
~Medium light bodied with high CO2, earthy spicy bitter finish that lingers.
~I really enjoy this brew. Refreshing with plenty of flavor to make it interesting. Well done

Copper color with a large head. Spot on Cascade hop aroma. Slightly grainy flavor. A bit of bitterness. Kind of looses the Cascade. Some caramel and floralness. Much better than I was anticipating.
