GABF 08. This is one of the craziest freaking beers I ever had. The smell is peanut butter... an I me real peanut butter and slight alcohol . The body is a creamy gold. the taste is just like the smell. Good carbonation.

Draft at Taste of Cincinatti. Tried two new Coors concotions at this street fest. If you like peanut butter, you might like this. I did. Like dark roasted peanuts.

On tap t Int’l great Beer Festival. The aroma is peanut buter, caramel. The appearance is a clear amber, white head. The flvor is peanut buter, caramel. The finish is peanut buter, some pine needles. Medium in body, maybe a little thin. Not bad. Add to tis rating if you actually like peanut butter.

Draft at GABF. Huh, a peanut beer. Pours a hazy blondish. Nose is hugely peanuts. Some bready malts. Lots of peanuts. Pretty cool in how peanut forward it is. On tasting, again has that dry roasty note but not much else. The base beer is bland, but still a neat idea and not a bad beer.

Listed as Blue Moon Peanut Butter Ale. It’s supposedly made with Jif peanut butter. It pours to a vibrant bronze body with a bubbly off white head. The aroma is nutty but still balanced with malt. Some toasty grains. The flavor is toasted malt with notes of peanut. There’s a balance to it, as it’s not overwhelmingly peanutty. Smooth and easy drinking. I was quite surprised that this was drinkable.

On draught at the International Great Beer Expo in Uniondale. Pours a hazy gold with a white head. The aroma is peanut butter along with a bit of malt. The flavor is similar to the aroma and actually reminds me a bit more of fresh roasted peanuts as opposed to peanut butter. This is an interesting beer to try, but I don’t know that I would want to drink an entire glass of this. Fun to try something different.

GABF 2011. Pours a dark copper color with a medium white head. A great nose of rich peanut butter. The flavor however was very odd, dusty bitterness, something like plastic and peanut butter. Not good.

Smells like a jar of peanut butter. Light gold in color. Tastes like someone dropped peanuts in my beer! Notes: GABF

BeerandBlues2 (6096) - Lone Tree, Colorado, USA - OCT 5, 2010
GABF 2010. Pours clear orange with a small, fizzy cream colored head, low retention with light lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (bread, caramel, nutty), light hops (woody), and light esters (dried fruit). Flavor is heavy malt (cookie, nutty), light hops (woody), light esters (dried fruit) with heavy notes of peanuts. Light body, low warmth and creaminess, high carbonation, and a dry finish.

Boulder Beer Rave. An overall mediocre beer, with little flavor or body to speak of. Slight peanut aromas, but generally bland.
Earlier Rating: 9/12/2010 Total Score: 3.7
Boulder Beer Rave 09, murky light brown/yellow color with a heavy peanut butter flavor, cool and refreshing contrary to the preconceptions of peanut butter.
