COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In the 1940’s, Belgian-Style Pale Ales grew in popularity and were ordered by the round due to their balanced taste. Rounder, our expression of this sessionable style, is crafted with hibiscus and orange peel for a hint of spiciness and touch of wheat for a smoother, rounder taste.

Malts: Pale, Imported Caramel, Imported Light Caramel, White Wheat
Hops: Cascade
Our Twist: Orange Peel, Hibiscus

Not bad, amber/copper color, modest head. Nose was caramelized malts and a light bit of phenol, touches of raisin, banana, and clove. Medium palate, a lot of carbonation, easy drinking.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber with small off white head that diminishes quickly to nothing. The aroma is a bready malt and caramel. Medium mouthfeel with a sweet malt and metallic finish. Meh

Tallahassee, Fl - Publix Supermarket - Blairstone - 12 oz bottle - part of their Expressionist Collection. Pours a dark copper with a medium thick off-white head with a bit of lacing. Some orange peel notes in the aroma, a hint of nuttiness. Flavor is refreshing and has a touch of caramel, some brown sugar, a touch of nuttiness, and a touch of underlying citrus - "well rounded". Decently thick mouthfeel.

Clear copper. Drank from bottle. Taste was ok but probably would not go out of my way to buy in the future

This was almost a heavier version of the traditional blue moon. Not a bad beer, but nothing truly note worthy.

Drank from the bottle at my brothers wedding reception. Aroma is hard too place because of the bottle Usage. Flavor is sort of like a pale ale, but not English in hop Usage. Just kind of brewed for the masses.

UPDATED: APR 27, 2013 12 ounce bottle from the latest Costco variety pack into a tulip-style glass. Not bad, kind of mediocre. This doesn?t have the crispness that I?ve come to expect from Belgian pale ales. Pours copper and clear with a thick white head. Flavor is caramel with some citrus and spice but kind of mild. I liked the Sam Adams Belgian IPA from their variety pack much more - Grumpy Monk. Oh well, it did come with 4 free Blue Moon glasses.

Bottle. Light orange and barley malt aroma. Amber with nice off-white head. Very light barley malt and tin flavor. Mild bitter orange peel finish. Nothing here - couldn’t even be considered a passable Belgian Ale for someone who considers Stella Artois to be the acme of Belgian brewing.

UPDATED: APR 12, 2013 Bottle. Amber pour, with a small off-white head. Mostly caramel, doughy, with a bit of citrus and light spicy hops. Drinkable, but quite bland and boring.
