COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In the 1940ís, Belgian-Style Pale Ales grew in popularity and were ordered by the round due to their balanced taste. Rounder, our expression of this sessionable style, is crafted with hibiscus and orange peel for a hint of spiciness and touch of wheat for a smoother, rounder taste.

Malts: Pale, Imported Caramel, Imported Light Caramel, White Wheat
Hops: Cascade
Our Twist: Orange Peel, Hibiscus

Poured a clear amber. A little sweet and astringent with a hint of spice. Not enjoyable. Not sure what this is, but it certainly isnít a Belgian ale.

UPDATED: MAY 14, 2014 Sometimes, you have different opinions about a beer in retrospect. I disliked Rounder when I first had it. In hindsight, though... it makes me even angrier. The fact that this beer calls itself a Belgian Style Pale Ale is almost beyond belief. This is the pussification of a great style for the sake of mass consumption. Too little hops. No distinct yeast flavor. No balls. In other words, Rounder sucks.

Bottle. Poured clear amber color with an average frothy white head that mostly diminished with fair lacing. Moderate sweet balanced aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium balanced flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met with a soft sweet drinkable beer.

Bottle poured into tumbler, amber color, little bit of head. Weak aroma. A little bitter as an ale should be, but thin and kind of watery. Just passable.

Bottle. Pours a clear caramel amber with a near white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of straw and grain with a bit of spice that comes through. Flavor is more bland with notes of straw, grain and bread.

Pitiful beer, absolute joke. Watery throughout, very mild carbonation, near diacetyl

@ Jungle Jims / Eastgate OH - Clear dark amber, 1/2" persistent head, bands of lace. Taste is semi-sweet caramel malt that moves without comment through the palate to a smooth fade in the finish. This is no more a Belgian than a Newcastle Brown. It is minor, but drinkable, smooth, but lifeless. I can deal with it, but donít know why Iíd want to.

Pours Amber in color with thin white head. Very little in the way of aroma. Flavors of orange and spice.

Amber pour with a white head. The aroma has some honey and caramel notes, as well as some floral character. The flavor is very similar. I get some caramel and toffee notes as well as some flowers, light orange peel, honey and brown sugar. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
