COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In the 1940’s, Belgian-Style Pale Ales grew in popularity and were ordered by the round due to their balanced taste. Rounder, our expression of this sessionable style, is crafted with hibiscus and orange peel for a hint of spiciness and touch of wheat for a smoother, rounder taste.

Malts: Pale, Imported Caramel, Imported Light Caramel, White Wheat
Hops: Cascade
Our Twist: Orange Peel, Hibiscus

Bottle. A- Odorless, bland, subtle caramel. A- Copper color, hazy liquid, minimal head. T- Bland, P- Light body, average texture, medium carbonation, abrupt finish. O- A poor representation of a Belgian Ale. Not only that, but this has hardly any taste or aroma or anything. If I close my eyes, I could swear I was drinking water. Just a disappointment.

Bottle. Pours a dark color color with a fair head. Aroma of citrus, light fruit and hint of malt sweetness. Taste of malt sweetness and light fruit. Mold bitterness and a fairly dry finish. Moderate body, smooth and flavorful. Easy drinker. Much better than expected.

August 9th, 2013 - I am unsure what it means to be part of the Expressionist Collection, but the Blue Moon Rounder is the first (and last, as of April, 2015) to be a member of this exclusive coterie. What qualifications a beer needs to gain membership is unclear, but it must be a relation to the aromatic and flavorful heritage of the Blue Moon derivatives, which tend to run sweet and candied. The aroma smells like burnt caramel and candied sugar, both effusive and sweet, and overwhelmingly so. The taste has a light lemon note, but none of the base or body of a brown ale. Instead I catch lighter notes of hibiscus and orange, with an appealing flavor, and more engagement than the average Blue Moon flavored bottle.

Beerathon (1490) - Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 15, 2015
Has the appearance of a watered down Dr. Pepper (fizzy and light brown, a bit of orange). Has the aroma of grapefruit and sweet malts, reminds me of a radler. The flavor has no resemblence to a Belgian Pale Ale, as I get nothing Belgian about it and don’t taste a pale ale at the base. With that said, the flavor is okay. But this beer is far from advertised.

Amberkleurig, grote bellen schuim dat snel vergaat. Droppig geur met restje kaneel van vorige bier (oops). Verder niet vies maar niks speciaals.

Bottle, pours hazy brown with light tan head. Carmel and citrus undertones to both the nose and pallet and a little sweetness. Not remarkable but a good drinkable beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

What I like is that this beer, and lots of beers these days, although far from great are quite drinkable, not unpleasant, and still offer a few notes of character. Although thin there is some malt and orange and hops and wheat, it’s there.

this isn’t a terrible beer. but ranks low with me. It’s got a hint of orange and almost a hint of nuttiness about it. a bit more carbonated than i like but not too strong.
