Farmhouse Ales were brewed for the diligent farmhands who drew the short straw and had to work the arduous harvest. Our brewmasterís expression blends the spiciness of a Farmhouse Ale with the tartness of a Flanders Red for a remarkably refreshing finish. Malts: Caramel Malt Pale Malt, European Abbey Malt, European Acidulated Malt, Chocolate Malt, Malted White Wheat Hops: Spalt Select, Czech Saaz Our Twist: White Pepper, Coriander, Hibiscus

Formerly know as "Farmhouse Red Ale"

Poured a reddish brown with a little head. Decent malt flavor with a very mild finish. Not a lot going on in this guy.

Pour from a 12oz bottle. Clear copper brew with white head. Aroma of weak caramel malt, coriander, pepper, wet paper. Taste is sweet malt at the start, a little wet paper and pepper in the finish. Rather bland. Lingering sweetness and pepper. Palate is thin but sticky at the end. Not something Iíll get again.

Bottle. Clear copper, medium off white head. The best single word to describe this beer is "delusional". To compare itself to a Flanders red ale is a joke. There are certain features here that, begrudgingly I agree, yes, also are present in that signature style. But the overall experience with this beer is weak and empty. The only thing to perk up a non-beergeeks attention is a mild tartness in the finish. If that person were then to have a true Flanders red put in front of them, they would never place the two in the same family.

Passable. Something a bit bitter in it. Nothing remarkable. I wouldn't buy again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours clear copper with a slight beige head. Aroma is fruit, malt, chocolate, spice. All mild tho. Med body, or nearly. Somehow the mix of flavors isnít working right. Reminding me of an age old candy bar I didnít really like very much. Never stopped me then, but it might now. Thereís fruit and pepper and chocolate in the finish. Some citrus, I guess. But comparing this to a Flanders Red? Well maybe it is a bit tart. Still.

Bottle pours a cop perish red with a thin white head with a thin uniform lacing. Taste is that of a red lager for sure but very "thin" with a slight framboise taste. Average. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear Red Amber Color, Medium Head, Decent Lacing. Nice Sweet Coriander Aroma. Taste of Vegetables, Reminds Me Of Pumpkin Beer without Spices. Slightly Sour. Medium Body, Over Carbonated. Might Be OK for the style, appreciate attempt from Blue Moon / Coors. Smell is the best Thing Going For This Brew. Drinkable but it is not something That Iíll try again... Pass It...

Rich amber coloured body with a slight ruby and orange tinted highlight, all with a small, two centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of hay, grass, alcohol, toasted malt, raisins and a bit of yeast - not great, but not horrible. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong toasted malt flavours with a big hit of cardboard, funky malt and a little sweetness. Aftertaste mainly shows the flawed malt character and a bit of sweetness, some hay and yeast flavours and not much else. Overall, not such a great beer with more funky notes than strong flavourful ones. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased and pulled from a Blue Moon Sampler Pack, purchased at Giant in Arlington, Virginia, sampled after a hockey game on 09-October-2013. Thanks Kevin!
