Farmhouse Ales were brewed for the diligent farmhands who drew the short straw and had to work the arduous harvest. Our brewmasterís expression blends the spiciness of a Farmhouse Ale with the tartness of a Flanders Red for a remarkably refreshing finish. Malts: Caramel Malt Pale Malt, European Abbey Malt, European Acidulated Malt, Chocolate Malt, Malted White Wheat Hops: Spalt Select, Czech Saaz Our Twist: White Pepper, Coriander, Hibiscus

Formerly know as "Farmhouse Red Ale"

Sweet for a red. Darker our than most. If strawberrys were bitter, this would be the beer. Average for men at best

Bottle from Grantís going away as Blue Moon Extra Sour Red -- best of luck in the air, we will miss you at events! Pours reddish amber with some carbonation, leaving an off-white head with slight lace. Aroma has sour cherry and light vinegar with some spices. Taste has lightly sour earthy cheery with some woodiness. Some biscuity malt, possibly. Light to medium bodied. Pleasant, somewhat sour. Decent offering from a macro.

12 oz. bottle from Cash Wise in Watford. Appearance: half finger slightly off-white to tan head, head does not last, copper color, clear, no lacing. Aroma: light fruit, caramel, light wheat notes. Palate: light body, average carbonation, dry finish, cloying texture. Taste: sweet caramel, wheat, and heavy fruity sweetness, into very very subtle tartness, ending with a cloying sweetness. Overall, interesting beer, but tastes are all off. There is nothing special about this beer.

My wife picked up a six pack of this and I helped my self to a bottle. Pours ruby red, passes a little light. Off white head. Nose just has some malt. Taste is completely malty, faux cherry. Diacayl. Cloying sweetness. This beer is not a farmhouse by any stretch. Craptastic.

Look: pours a copper color. White head. Very clear. Smell: fruits. Bananas. Orange slices. Similar to blue moon wheat. Taste: strange bitterness. Floral taste. Mild orange and bananas. Feel: very thin. Medium carbonation. Overall: not very good. Not a big fan of the fruit or the flower aroma and taste. First drank: home 10/21/14

Bottle, from mixed-pack. Poured a bubbly copper color with a foamy white head. Aroma was light pale malts, some wheat notes. This one had lots of carbonation. Flavor was sweet malt notes, thatís about it. Nothing offensive. Another boring one. Would probably only drink again if someone bought one of these box sets.

Sour, abrasive, muted complexity. Has the same fumbling, erroneous trappings of the Blue Moon brand.

Bottle. Pours a vague sort of red-brown-gold with a fine-grained, off-white, thin head. Nose is mostly acetic with a little coriander and sweetness. Taste is sour, metallic, and earthy, with an off-putting bitterness thatís not hops. Tastes like over-steeped tea. Finish is bitter and floral-sweetness. This tries to do two things, doesnít do either one of them well, and ultimately sinks into mediocrity.

I don't know. I didn't like it. Super coriander and a like sour/tart touch. I think over done highlighting nothing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

pours a translucent red-amber. some malty aroma. flavours of caramel, brown sugar and some molasses. finishes with heavy malt and some pepper. certainly not a bad brew for a macro, but would have expected much more based on the commercial description. Still, beats a Bud Light any day.

Pours a clear amber with quickly fading head leaving spotty lacing. Aroma is bready, ashy, with some artificial strawberry or grape fruitiness. Taste is tart cherry, lightly sour, very carbonated with a almost decent but hollow bready aftertaste. Not a drain pour, but only marginally better than a macrobrew pale lager. Really sticky fruity mouthfeel left behind. OK this isnít horrible; it went down pretty easy.
