Dark mahogany brown-red. Beige cover. Aroma is lots of spicing, cinnamon, apple pie. Taste is pretty much apple pie, cinnamon, caramelized apples. Sweet.

Bottle. Poured clear brown with an average frothy brown head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate sweet malt and spice aroma. Medium with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium spice and dark sweet malt flavor with a medium spice sweet finish of moderated duration. Soft drinkable session seasonal.

Pours a ruby/ brown with tan head. The cinnamon jumps right out on the nose With other holiday spices. Taste is is like apple pie minus the apples. Sweet with cinnamon, sugar nutmeg with the caramel malts. I thought this was ok, but actually gave the other half to my wife as she really liked it. Just too much simplicity of sweet and spice.

Had over at the Cooper House .. . Pours a ruby copper .. light foam .. . light cinnamon, light coffee cake, and light spice .. . light mouth .. pretty nice spiced brew but it is awfully simplified .. . . Ohh, why won’t those stupid idiots let me in their crappy club for jerks?

aroma is fabulous with heavy spice of cinnamon, cranberry, nutmeg and brown sugar. the rest of the beer is very good though not perfect. palate is slightly thin, wit ha taste of of rich malts of autumn and winter spices. taste is great but falls at the end. Still this is highly recommend for anyone who love the autumn flavors!!

Heavens to Murgatroyd -- am I only the third person to rate this? Part of the winter 2010 mixpack. Good embossed label, good engraved-looking label, good cap - all of this counteracted by the twist-off top. Dark, clear auburn brown beer, not much head. Cigarette-y, Scottish ale aroma with peat, sweet and tannin. The aroma really develops as the beer warms, and it’s actually a bit unpleasant when it’s cold. Wow - very interesting. Sweet, low bittering, Back in the 70’s, when our family got its first microwave (my friend’s family was less technically advanced and called them "Short Leg Machines" because they thought that your kids would come out with one short leg. I digress...) my dad got on a kick where he would nuke apples covered in brown sugar, butter and pie spices -- this reminded me of those. Finally, a beer with cinnamon that doesn’t taste like a Red Hot. This has a slight astringency which also reminds me of apple peel. Medium to slightly light body. Sweet, apple tart aftertaste. This was like nothing that I’ve ever had before, and I think that they would get clingy after more than, say, two. Still, it was very interesting -- and a strong candidate for the Cajun Injector and the Christmas ham. Picked this up from my girlfriend, WalMartia.

Beer pours a very nice amber color with a medium sized head that goes away rather quickly. Beer smells of cinnamon and sweet grain. Tastes of cinnamon and sugar, with a nice caramel flavor. Good beer, very pleasant flavor.

UPDATED: JAN 15, 2013 The aroma is pleasant at first with plenty of cinnamon and caramel malts but followed by adjuncts. The appearance is amber with a huge head. The taste is like the aroma with a simple sweet taste. The palate is thin. Overall pretty easy to drink but not much to say about it.
