1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 tedovertu (281) - Apple Valley, Minnesota, USA - JUN 6, 2012Very bland and uninteresting. Rather flat with little to no head. Medium gold color. Kind of a skunky back end. Not a very good tasting beer at all.
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Block (1039) - Indianapolis, Indiana, USA - MAY 14, 2013
This beer seemed to have a weird combination of flavors. I didn’t go in one direction or another. Probably would have been better if it had a distinct orange or lemon flavor rather than a mixture of both. The malts didn’t help the situation.
2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 otakuden (1616) - Vero Beach, Alabama, USA - NOV 24, 2012
Appearance:
Clear and light with colors of orange and gold under a thin white collar which fades into a broken film. A slow stream of bubbles breaks the silence.
Nose:
Sweet rolls, honey rolls. Hint of powdered sugar and angel food cake sweetness. Cold fresh cut apricots and green grapes. Ghostly essence of lemon bread.
Palate:
Sweet rolls and honey rolls front and center. Green grapes and apricots in the back of the swallow. Bright – tingles atop my tongue. Soft mouthfeel. The sweetness threatens to overwhelm – borderline cloying. Angel food cake in the middle adds to the sweetness. Fresh bananas in the breath.
Final Thoughts:
An OK starter beer but with so many better intro craft beers available on the market, I’d offer the Spring Blonde Wheat Ale to a friend only if it was the only available option. Way too sweet, cloyingly sweet. Tone down the sweetness and enhance the fresh quality of apricots and green grapes would be my 2 cents worth.
2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 chinchill (580) - South Carolina, USA - NOV 16, 2012
Pours a clear golden-amber color with a small off-white head that soon reduces to a lasting ring. The aroma is weak: wheat, hops and some faint malt in the background. More flavor than aroma. In addition to the components detected by nose, there is a light citrus/lemon quality and a grassy note. Light body; nicely dry finish; good, medium carbonation.
O: highly drinkable alternative to a light beer. Certainly works as an accompaniment to yard work and summer weather. Not much flavor or aroma here, but no striking flaws in this refreshing brew.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 jmagnus87 (1385) - Rockford, Illinois, USA - NOV 2, 2012
12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a lightly cloudy gold with a half finger of white head. Aroma of skunky wheat and citrus. Light sour. Citrus notes with a strong wheat backbone. Light bodied with a thin yet somewhat sticky texture. Lively carbonation and a lingering citrus finish. Overall, pretty good. I’m not usually a fan of spring beers but this one is drinkable.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 jerohen (1863) - Bussum, NETHERLANDS - SEP 20, 2012
On draft in a pub somewhere in Glasgow, UK. Slightly hazy yellow/orange colored, white head. Very fruity, mainly orange, wheat. Reasonably well-bodied. Not very complex, but refreshing.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 oddaroma (129) - Texas, USA - AUG 28, 2012
Lemon and orange scents along with grass and mild grapefruit. Very clear deep yellow color. Doesn’t really seem like a wheat. Thin bodied. The flavors come across as artificial. Very sweet. Finish leaves you with a hint of biscuit or bready flavors. Okay brew could use some tweaking.

2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 LBarouf (107) - Aylmer, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 1, 2012
12 oz bottle
Aroma: skunk that rolled in some orange/lime mix. The bitter taste overpowers completely the silk/smooth of normal wear beer. Too floral, bitter and still leave an alcohol flavour going through. It’s too insipid. Maybe too girly? Not sure, what’s with it, but I did not enjoy too much, I did not finish the bottle.
