Formerly Known as Valencia Amber Ale

Our limited-release Valencia Amber Ale is crafted with roasted malts, Valencia orange peel, and a touch of wheat for an uplifting orange, caramel aroma. It’s the perfect inspiration for taking advantage of the season.

decided to get this only because it was a beer i had never had in a liquor store with sparse selection. Pours amber gold with fizzy off white head. Aroma of hay, light caramel. Medium to light bodied, high carbonation. Flavor is watery, light caramel and hay. Wouldn’t have known there was wheat in it. Pretty bland and uninteresting, would rather have normal blue moon.

Sweet, with some light caramel. Light fruitiness--smells and tastes more like green apple than oranges. Could probably use some more bitterness to balance the sweetness, which is dominant--although the flavor is not strong enough for it to be that offensive.

Actually better than standard Blue Moon, it’s got a little orange flavor thrown in. The orange doesn’t overpower it, it’s a really smooth and refreshing beer. Also although it’s treasonous to put an orange slice in your beer for flavor, it’s somehow ok if it’s oranged up in the bottle.

A: fruity undertones - orange and banana, some yeast spices A: amber T: sweet malts - somewhat bock-like, P: nothing special O: A good beer overall, but not particularly fancy. My guess is its rating would be considerable higher had everyone been told it was from <insert_popular_microbrewery>

Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is medium amber. Aroma is lightly malty (grain), lightly hoppy (flowers), with light notes of butter, orange juice, metal. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Not much aroma, and what’s there is not healthy. Bland in the mouth. Drain pour.

Almost a finger of head on a dark amber colored body. The aroma is a mild grain and orange zest. Mild though. The taste is mildly bitter with moderate sweetness. Bland. The texture is crisp with moderate to high carbonation. A lack of depth and flavor keeps this back.

This is the worst beer by Blue Moon I have ever had. I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between this and what I drank in college (and occasionally still do).

Nice orange, hoppy aroma, copper color with a rather full foamy head. It has a smooth hoppy flavor with a lightly caramel like finish.

Light gold tint. No strong aroma. Light flavor that ends fruity. Not the best amber ale I’ve had

12 oz bottle from the spring variety pack. Pours a clear copper with a medium collapsing off-white head. Aroma consists of wheat, citrus drink powder, oranges, caramel--all of it a little faint. Taste is caramelly sweet with the fruit taking a backseat; finishes a little dry and faintly bitter. Body is thin, mouthfeel is creamy and a little watery. Obviously nothing extraordinary, but there are no offnotes and it doesn’t taste too bad.
