2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 SSSteve (3024) - Atlanta, USA - FEB 5, 2012
bottle from mix pack. pours a clear amber under a small white head. malty nose with some orangey citrus. flavors of toasted malt. surprisingly bready. the valencia orange addition doesn’t really make much of an appearance. this is mostly a toasted, very malty, amber ale. quite different from the rest of the blue moon series if i remember correctly.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Mora2000 (2953) - Dallas, Texas, USA - MAY 11, 2012
The beer pours an amber color with a white head. The aroma is grain, bread and a little bit of orange. The flavor is more of the same, with quite a bit of sweetness from the toffee and bread malt. There is a hint of orange, but basically this is just a beer full of grainy sweetness. Thin mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Certainly nothing special.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 burg326 (1056) - Florida, USA - APR 15, 2012
12 ounce bottle poured a copper color with aromas of malt, wheat, caramel, and a feint hint of oranges. Flavor is the same, interesting beer that had a touch of orange aftertaste. Decent little one off from Blue Moon.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 ronaldtheriot (444) - Laplace, Louisiana, USA - APR 10, 2012
Blue Moon Valencia Amber Ale has a thick, light beige head and a somewhat hazy amber appearance with minimal lacing. The aroma is pronounced- sweet, brown bread and a touch of citrus. Taste is of sweet brown bread, caramel, some slight citrus, a touch of hop bitterness, and alcohol. There’s an underlying cloying sweetness to this, which evokes malt liquor. Mouthfeel is medium and somewhat fluffy, and Blue Moon Valencia Amber Ale finishes semi-dry and relatively easy drinking. Overall, this is a good and interesting beer. RJT

4/7/12. 12oz bottle thanks to PorterPounder! Clear dark amber pour with a small khaki head that fades fast and barely laces. Plain sweet caramel aroma with a touch of metal. Similar lame caramel flavor with bits of metal and a hint of tartness. Meh.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 scooterbub (546) - Lander, Wyoming, USA - APR 7, 2012
12 ounce bottle from a sample pack. Pours a clear copper with a nice, one inch, light tan head that lasts. Taste is of roasted malt, caramel, orange, wheat, honey and some spice. Has a nice orange, malt, and caramel aroma. The body is mostly full and a bit chewy. Easy to drink and quite enjoyable. One of the better beers in the Blue Moon series.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Fratto (2021) - Arlington, Texas, USA - APR 3, 2012
Bottle from Kroger. Amber pour with a small off-white head. aroma is nutty cardboard and a little caramel. Taste is about the same. No oranges.

Pours a clear dark amber with minimal head. Aroma is mostly caramel with a little hint of citrus. Taste is light sweet. Mostly caramel with a little orange. Medium-full bodied with a creamy texture. Lively carbonation but not much of a finish. Overall, it’s ok. I wouldn’t drink it again, but I’ll finish this one. Just very bland flavoring.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 thetmaxx (497) - West Sacramento, California, USA - MAR 23, 2012
From the bottle, I hate to give MillerCoors this much credit, but this is not bad. Nice citrus orange flavors, and thick maltiness, tastes like honey is in there somewhere.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 PorterPounder (4105) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - FEB 27, 2012
Tallahassee, Fl - Publix Supermarket - Thomasville Rd - 12 oz bottle - part of their spring variety pack. Pours a sparkling copper with a quickly fading off-white bubbly head. Aroma has some brief citrus notes, some green lollipop notes. Flavor is somewhat bland, brief caramel hints, a touch of citrus and a brief cake mix sweetness in the back end. Mouthfeel is thick enough. Decent, but won’t be writing home about it.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Palidor19 (2386) - Brandon, Florida, USA - FEB 26, 2012
Rich and robust with a strong bite all the way through. it a spring beer, with a nice heavy malt but its hops are mild in comparison. still its very carbonated and highly drinkable.
