Bottle from a Grocery Outlet. Pours light copper/amber with a slight white head. Light orange aroma. Near med body. Flavor has caramel, hints of orange and something that is either nutty or chocolate. I choose nutty. Develops a bit more orange in the finish.

Bottle. Pours brilliantly clear amber with a small, tight bubbled white head, clings to the sides and dissipates rather quickly leaving spotty lacing at best. Aroma is grain, meal, and toast malt with citrus notes of hops and peel, apricot esters. Flavor is malt sweet backbone with light hops and bitterness, orange peel, fruity esters and a sweet finish. Light to medium body and medium carbonation.

Bottle @ home, picked up at Wilburs Fort Collins. Pours a bit hazy, dark orange appearance with a small cream colored head. Heavy metal, blood orange aroma. Bitter herbal, mild toasted caramel, blood orange flavors that are completely dominated by a massive amount of metallic notes. Certified drain pour. Earthquake High Gravity Lager 8.1% easily beats this out in a head to head matchup. Fuck you.

12 ounce bottle from a Kroger. Pours a clear amber color with a medium sized fizzy white head. Poor head retention. Big citrus aroma, some wheat and toasted notes. The taste is honey, wheat, grainy malts and a citrus finish. Mild earth. Medium bodied. Decent.

Bottle. Orange and caramel malt aroma. Golden yellow with small head. Over-ripe orange and light caramel malt flavor. Bitter orange peel flavor. A bit better than expected.

arminjewell (8474) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JAN 31, 2013
Pour on tap at TGI Friday, hazy orange red pour with white head, aroma brought notes of stale malts, some caramel, toffee, slight orange, sweet artificial notes, hints of slight spice. Taste is a mix of sweet orange, caramel, toffee, hints of malt, slight spice, finishing fairly sweet, pretty nondescript.

DocLock (8386) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 26, 2013
Bottle from Capone’s and Collegeville Wegman’s. Pours clear copper with minimal off-white head. Nose is caramel malt, mild oragne zest, hops. Tastes of bready caramel malt, not much fruit in this, with backup hops and some late toffee. Decent, but not much going on in the nose or tongue.

DrSilverworm (8161) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUN 29, 2013
Pint on tap at Holler’s, for $4.50. Clear amber color. Off-white head. Fades to a minimal amount, leaves no lace. Active-looking carbonation. Caramel malt flavor, light spiciness, some breadiness. Not too much to it. More sweet taste. Kind of bland and sweet, not too much to this besides caramel. Fancy name, sub-par macro-tasting beer.
