This copper-colored ale is crafted with roasted malts, Belgian sugar, and a touch of wheat for a rich caramel flavor and a smooth toffee finish.

Bottle at GABF. Pours a deeper copper with an offwhite head. The nose is quite fresh. Mild ester and phenol notes, some clove and white pepper but faint. Caramel as well. Still, muted overall. On taste, there is some light hop character and slight caramel forward note. Still kind of bland but not a train wreck. Meh.

UPDATED: DEC 11, 2011 11/21/11. 12oz bottle from the winter 12pk... how is this different than the Full Moon they used to make? Hope I didnít just ruin a bunch of ticks for people. Clear amber/red pour with a small khaki head that fades fast, sticks a little, and barely laces. Light aroma of caramel, metal, and a touch of spice. Sweet caramel flavor with a surprising amount of chocolate and roast in there, along with another metallic kick. Lingering sweet caramel and metal as well. Bleh.

Bottle. Pours a dark reddish brown with big off-white head that quickly disappears. Aroma of sweet caramel malts. Taste is very, very sweet. Brown sugar, caramel malts, and toffee in the finish dominate. Smooth, but a bit thin. OK, but a bit too sweet for my taste.

Bottle. Poured a clear brown color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate toasted sweet malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium toasted sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. My expectation where met.

Another not-half-bad entry from Blue Moon. Toffee aroma and taste with a little spice.

Dark amber pour with little head or lacing. Smooth taste, very sweet, not much depth. Didnít love it and didnít hate it. Average

Crisp amber coloured body with a ruby glow and a very very thick tan head that tops the beer nicely. Aroma of malt, toffee, sugars and a touch of yeast - nice. Medium-bodied; Assertive toffee and earthy nuttiness with a good dose of malt, some light yeast flavours and very little else. Aftertaste shows a pale malt characteristic with a little toffee and earth and perhaps some bitter tea and yeast flavours. Overall, not so great, and not even close to any abbey or belgie beer iíve had - this does not belong in that category, regardless of what they were intending or what the label says. This quite simply is awful and passable only by a mass produced brewery - not good. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 09-November-2011 for US$1.99 sampled at home on the Eastern Shore on 12-November-2011.

Poured from multiple 12oz bottles - Quite disappointing all-around, but it does look nice. I actually tried this because I was surprised to find I liked the original Blue Moon. This is terribly sweet with nothing much else going on. Canít recommend.

Pours clear orange-red with white head, aroma has notes of biscuit, some spice, toffee, some slight lemon hints of caramel. Taste is a hint of spice, caramel, some slight biscuit, finishing fairly spicy and bitter.

Bottle. Mostly clear amber pour with a large initial head that fades to a slightly cream colored ring. Aroma is caramel malt and sugar. Medium palate. Taste is quite sweet - notes of dark fruit/plum, some candied sugar, and caramel malt. Really not too bad, especially coming from Coors. Pleasantly surprised.
