2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
spicy hoppy smell. Nice head that dissipates fairly quickly. dark brown appearance with hardly any carbonation. light body, much lighter than youíd expect for a beer this dark and a bit of a sticky stale aftertaste. Pretty boring overall, Iíd choose it on $0.50-bottle night.

Honestly the differences between this one and the other Blue Moons are pretty minute. Once again, smooth drink with a flavor thatís almost a tease; there should be something more behind it but there isnít. Almost like itís incomplete.

This beer fills me up. I find the sugar note pleasant. It is easy-drinking if not very remarkable. I donít ever pair this with food. I buy a case when it comes out yearly.

This was a nice winter touch, but too many micro and crafts to worry about now.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Poured a medium amber color with no real head to speak of. Aroma was spice and a little malt. The flavor followed along. Nothing to get excited about....I can say Iíve tried it.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Goblet. Dark amber with a fizzy soda pop head. Odor is mainly alcohol with maybe a hint of malts. Bland taste, not at all what I was expecting for a Blue Moon.

Deep brown pour, very light head and lace. Sweet malt and breads. Sugar and caramel aroma. Nothing unique to it.

Pours a red-copper, with a small off-white head. Mild malty aroma with some earthy notes. Flavor is much of the same, with some dark fruit and caramel. The finish is sweet with some lingering note.

2.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: MAR 13, 2013 Mostly soap on the nose, faint spices. Burnt amber color is promising, but like a lot of mass produced beers, the taste aims for inoffensiveness rather than complexity. Vaguely spicy finish. Why make it so smooth and watery? The Coors crowd isnít going to be buying this, so who do you think is picking a beer called "Winter Abbey Ale" off the shelves? Craft beer fans. Needs to be much bolder.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
This beer pours a dark amber liquid with a small head. the smell is dried fruits and brown sugar. The tast is malty, with some carmel and fruit in a medium-light body. The finish is a bit of sweetness swirled into toasty coffee and malt. Not long in the aftertaste but a very pleasant beer.
