3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Shanebrews (63) - - NOV 25, 2012This beer fills me up. I find the sugar note pleasant. It is easy-drinking if not very remarkable. I don’t ever pair this with food. I buy a case when it comes out yearly.
1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Block (1039) - Indianapolis, Indiana, USA - MAY 14, 2013
Just getting around to rating this one. This beer was one of my least favorite winter Blue Moon beers. The beer had a very off-putting bitter flavor.
3.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Silverbush85 (41) - - MAY 3, 2013
Darker than expected... Overall average ... C+ to a B- at best... Its a dark amber, with heavy caramel flavor, but is missing a standout spice.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 flying_pig (614) - SCOTLAND - APR 30, 2013
Bottle from Utobeer, Borough Market, London (355ml, £2.50):
Light caramel malts and a very sweet aroma with a few toffee notes and some sugar. There is a lot of spice coming through and a nutty aroma near the end.
Dark brown colour with a thin, half centimetre tall and bubbly head that settles to a thin, patchy lacing on top of the beer after about a minute.
Spicy and a stronger caramel taste to begin with, there is some sweetness shinning through and a nutty base with some darker fruits in there to. I could detect a small amount of wheat and a light bitter finish.
Light bodied and a little thin but nothing major, the carbonation was medium and the beer was very sweet with a bit of spice thrown in too.
Fairly ordinary although not bad, however it was a little too sweet and started to become slightly sickening nearer the end. I’d stick to the original if I was you but it wasn’t enough to put me off seeking out other Blue Moon varieties in future.

April 12, 2013 - bottle from Uncle Nick. Clear brown pour with lots of head that lasted. Aroma of malt, caramel and spice. Taste was consistent, but lightly roasted malt. Thin to medium bodied and some carbonation.

This ale poured with a burnt yellowish to brown pour. It’s taste has hints of hops and sweet caramel with hints of coffee in the finish. Pretty good offering from Millercoors
2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 omega (490) - NEW ZEALAND - APR 3, 2013
A beer I struggled to rate. It ticks all the boxes but somehow fails to deliver. t is full bodied and flavoursome but lacks a subtleness. I
2.8 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Pershing (373) - Garland, Texas, USA - MAR 10, 2013
Pours dark amber with a fizzy head the mostly disappears. Malt aroma is hardly detectable. Nice malty taste with the initial sip. Slightly sweet finish. Not bad for a mega brewery.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 tampierre (365) - Pilsen, CZECH REPUBLIC - MAR 7, 2013

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Ughsmash (6670) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 5, 2013
Bottled. Poured light-medium reddish-brown with a short, tight-bubbled beige head. The aroma picked up toasted caramel, molasses, and candi sugar with accents of fruity yeast and dank wheat. The flavor found tart fruity notes on the tip of the tongue, with sweet caramel, candi sugar, and wheat following.. spicy, tangy finish with too much tacky residual sweetness. Lighter-bodied and well-carbonated on the palate.. smooth middle, but tangy and rough at odd times.. drinkable, but not very good.
