3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Blue Moon kind of reminds me of this horrible Betty White prank show my Dad is watching... The first 3 pranks have been based around farts, porn, and porn. Pretty lowest common denominator and aiming for mass appeal. But unlike the prank show, there is some good here. Nothing jumps out, but it’s tasty. Unlike Coors itself or Bud, Blue Moon is trying. Just like an octogenarian aping Punk’d (which already kind of sucked). And damn it, that earns you some points in my book.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown colour with a thin beige head, weak malty aroma with some caramel, the taste is slighty bitter with malt, with a dry finish.

2.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
As far as sticking with the style, they made an attempt considering this is a Coors product. The aroma was faintly of bread. The color a dark brown with a small head. The palate was light with average carbonation. The flavors were like a light Dubbel. I swear I could taste a Coors influence. Some bready sweetness. Everything seemed toned down.

Nothing very remarkable in this Abby. Hints of the spices I expected but not bold. Slightly alcoholic hints.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
I got this in a trade with a neighbor. Thankfully I didn’t give up too much in exchange. This "abbey" ale has very sour and overly spiced flavors. The ginger and cinnamon are way overdone. The beer has no head and a very uninteresting copper color. The only decent quality of this beer is a slightly spicy hop flavor toward the finish. Other than that, I’d just about pour this one down the toilet.

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Just getting around to rating this one. This beer was one of my least favorite winter Blue Moon beers. The beer had a very off-putting bitter flavor.

3.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Darker than expected... Overall average ... C+ to a B- at best... Its a dark amber, with heavy caramel flavor, but is missing a standout spice.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Utobeer, Borough Market, London (355ml, £2.50):
Light caramel malts and a very sweet aroma with a few toffee notes and some sugar. There is a lot of spice coming through and a nutty aroma near the end.
Dark brown colour with a thin, half centimetre tall and bubbly head that settles to a thin, patchy lacing on top of the beer after about a minute.
Spicy and a stronger caramel taste to begin with, there is some sweetness shinning through and a nutty base with some darker fruits in there to. I could detect a small amount of wheat and a light bitter finish.
Light bodied and a little thin but nothing major, the carbonation was medium and the beer was very sweet with a bit of spice thrown in too.
Fairly ordinary although not bad, however it was a little too sweet and started to become slightly sickening nearer the end. I’d stick to the original if I was you but it wasn’t enough to put me off seeking out other Blue Moon varieties in future.
