3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured into a pint glass. Color is a dark ruby brown with a light tan head that quickly dissipates. Aroma is sweet and malty with caramel notes and maybe a hint of fruit. Taste pretty much matches the aroma. Mouthfeel is smooth and lightly carbonated. Overall a good mild winter beer. Definitely not a complex beer in taste or aroma, but extremely drinkable.

355ml bottle. Copper to teak red colour with lots of roasted malt in the aroma, also some toffee aromas. The flavor is mostly is caramel with a bit of vanilla thrown in. Nice fudgey toffee finish.

3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Not a bad winter ale, very floral warm taste (not temperature ;-) ). It has a fairly bitter after taste and not in a pleasant way. Worth trying but would not be my favorite.

A brownish-amber pour with an off-white head. It has a toasty aroma with some caramel. The light body has a crisp texture with lively carbonation. The taste is sweet with a fairly quick finish. A little light, but pretty good.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Blue Moon Winter Abbey Ale has a thin, creamy, beige head and a dark ruby red appearance with little streaming bubbles and a decent amount of lacing. The aroma is sweet tea, clean water, and not a lot else. Taste is of brown bread, white wheat, caramel, toffee, medium-roasted barley malt, brown sugar, and molasses, with a touch of bitterness at the end. Mouthfeel is light to medium, and Blue Moon Winter Abbey Ale finishes semi-dry, crisp, and relatively easy drinking. Overall, this is very good.

Pours a cinnamon brown with a light tan head. Light roasted malt taste with a clean dry finish. Smell some caramel but hard to detect. Can feel a mild spiciness. Drinkable and refreshing. I’d drink this one again.

Pours reddish brown with thick tan head. Aroma seemed to have a hint of chocolate perhaps? Malty. The taste has a slightly bittersweet taste, with a smooth finish. Not bad but not as sweet as I expected from the label description.
