12 oz bottle pours semi clear brown with a short offwhite head. Aromas of caramel, some maple, and very brownie-like. Flavor is caramel sweetness, a little vanilla, and some slight chocolate. Pretty much like a brownie in a glass really. Palate is light and well carbonated. Overall this beer just seemed quite artificial to me.. Not too great..

date sampled: January 12, 2007 Best buy date stamped on the bottle: april 15, 07 i poured into a Weizen glass Appearance: clear, dark amber colored. not too much carbonation. a slight, but healthy head quickly dissapates. smell: very sweet. smells like maple, vanilla, and caramel at first sniff, with some chocolate undertones. taste: it doesn’t taste as sweet as it smells, but still rather sweet. but all the smells are present when it hits my tongue. the carbonation is about perfect, IMO. mouthfeel: maybe a little flat, but that’s how i prefer it anyways. rather lightbodied for a winter ale, it seems. medium bodied in general. drinkability: i couldn’t handle more than one in one sitting. it’s too sweet for my liking. maybe sitting around a fireplace, smoking cigars, i would grab one, but there are just too many other good beers that i would rather have instead of this one. i think any time i might be in the mood for one, a newcastle or guinness would do much better.

Bottle. Deep amber in color with a tan head. Smelled of nuts and slightly caramel. Lightly carbonated and tastes of mild vanilla. Fantastic beer! A few local establishments even ran out around the holidays!!

Looks like bar Coke - brown and lightly carbonated, no head. Aroma of Log Cabin syrup (artificial maple). Flavor of Log Cabin syrup (artificial maple). Medium body, minimal carbonation. Dreadful.

Having to smuggle this one from Denver and Chicago, put the effort in on this one. Perhaps the best flavored micro I have ever drank. The taste is sweet, slightly nutty and is incredibly smooth. This is a beer to sit down with and share with friends.

BLECH! This one is nasty. The color is nice... it pours a pretty deep amber color but that’s about it. This beer is gross. Has a hazelnut flavor to it - which may be why it don’t like it. I’m not a fan of hazelnut. Toasted, almost burnt malty flavor. Leaves a VERY funky aftertaste. It’s almost hard to swallow this brew. I will not be purchasing this one again.

12 oz bottle Best before April 15 ’07. Clear copper with a thick, creamy, tan head.

Aroma is heavy on the vanilla, with some maple syrup and hazelnuts.

Flavor is caramel, vanilla and nuts.

Finish is short, with touch of nutty sweetness but not much else.
