i poured into a Weizen glass
Appearance: clear, dark amber colored. not too much carbonation. a slight, but healthy head quickly dissapates.
smell: very sweet. smells like maple, vanilla, and caramel at first sniff, with some chocolate undertones.
taste: it doesn’t taste as sweet as it smells, but still rather sweet. but all the smells are present when it hits my tongue. the carbonation is about perfect, IMO.
mouthfeel: maybe a little flat, but that’s how i prefer it anyways. rather lightbodied for a winter ale, it seems. medium bodied in general.
drinkability: i couldn’t handle more than one in one sitting. it’s too sweet for my liking. maybe sitting around a fireplace, smoking cigars, i would grab one, but there are just too many other good beers that i would rather have instead of this one. i think any time i might be in the mood for one, a newcastle or guinness would do much better. chadcs (76), Westminster, South Carolina, USA

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Dec 3, 2006 Dark copper color with a thin head. Interesting aroma that’s kind of sweet and almost seems like molasses. Goes downhill from here... I don’t know about "winter spices". Kind of a sour dry malt taste that’s just plain. | 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Feb 23, 2007 Draft. Nothing distiguishable at all.here. Does look nice, though. Almost amber color. Decent foamy head. But not much to smell of taste. maybe a mere touch of spice here. A typical Coors in its total lack of hops. Many weak parts, but it seems to come together a little better in the whole. hotstuff (3183), Indiana, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Mar 13, 2008 Bottle. Poured a small fizzy ivory head that mostly diminished, fair amount of lacing, transparent, fizzy, fast rising carbonation observed, and an orange hue. Nose was roasty malts, sweet, and lightly hoppy. Flavor was sweet, malty, sticky, gummy, and dry. Mouthfeel, was smooth, gummy, sticky, thin, and dry. Light in body. Nah, nothing special going on with this beer for sure. Not as tasty as their regular Blue Moon. luckygirl (1221), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Nov 13, 2006 Bottled. Apr1507. Beer is clear, dark mahogany brown with a small, frothy, beige, mostly diminishing head,

The aroma is malty with moderately husky notes of toasted grain, snickerdoodle; Yeasty with a trace of basement; Heavy miscellaneous note of vanilla extract (think pudding.)

The flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly biiter with a longer-than-average, lightly sweet, lightly acidic/sour finish. Big vanilla retros—kind of make me think about soda.

The body is light, the texture is watery and the carbonation is fizzy. Padron4KM (405), Chandler, Arizona, USA

Clear copper with a thick, creamy, tan head.
Aroma is heavy on the vanilla, with some maple syrup and hazelnuts.
Flavor is caramel, vanilla and nuts.
Finish is short, with touch of nutty sweetness but not much else. scottmc (167), Lakewood, Colorado, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Jul 6, 2007 A heavy bodied winter wheat ale that disappoints. The caramel and other roasted malts are overwhelming almost like candy. The head is a creamy white.
