Commercial Description:
A winter seasonal ale that blends three varieties of slow roasted malts and multiple hops to deliver exquisite aroma and taste. It's that time of year again - the weather cools and our seasonal ale is here. Blue Moon Winter Ale captures all the season's subtle colors and complexity. Start your own traditions and toast the season with this winter-spiced amber ale.

Editor's Note: after a recipe change in 2007, now known as Full Moon.

Pours a medium brown, with a slight head. Not a very special winter beer. I wouldn’t buy this one again.

330 mL. Pours a clear, dark brown with a decent off-white head that settles down. Aromas of copper, roasted malt, fresh grass, and some soy sauce. Not a good combo. Taste is metallic and watery with an astringent/acidic finish. Very poor.

A good full bodied beer. Not a ton of flavor but certainly pleases the palate! Not bitter, not malty, just somewhere in between.

Very disappointed in this beer, not special about this beer, the only lasting impression here was that it had a metallic taste from pour bottling

Bottle. Poured a small fizzy ivory head that mostly diminished, fair amount of lacing, transparent, fizzy, fast rising carbonation observed, and an orange hue. Nose was roasty malts, sweet, and lightly hoppy. Flavor was sweet, malty, sticky, gummy, and dry. Mouthfeel, was smooth, gummy, sticky, thin, and dry. Light in body. Nah, nothing special going on with this beer for sure. Not as tasty as their regular Blue Moon.

Pours a bit cloudy brown - ok aroma and appearance - nothing special - Final verdict is I’d but this again...only if I’m desperate for a winter ale.

Pours brown with thick lasting head. Aromas of grass. Smells more like a lager than an ale. Flavors are dry. Tastes like cheap macro. Drank one and donated the rest.
