on tap at the brewery; clear amber color; aroma is mostly citrusy hops with some mild fruity Belgian yeast notes; flavor is much the same - citrusy hops dominate with Belgian yeast notes on a medium bodied bready malt base

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Draft at Whole Foods. Deep golden color, muscular build, both visually and in texture. Nice full-bodied character, both in palate and flavors. On an edge somewhere between the subtle American "goldens" and a full-up continental Tripel ... I really enjoyed it. Excellent. (#6183, 5/6/2016)

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draught at Xroads. Poured a yellow body with a large fluffy white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, lemon, toadt, white pepper and some spice. Flatter body, soft carbonation, average duration on the aftertaste. Flavor is weak compared to the aroma, pepper, cracker, toast. Meh.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tasted on 2/8/14 from a bottle at the late night tasting after the RBWG Grand Tasting. Pours hazy yellow with a light, white head that leaves thin, spotty lace. The nose is some spicy Belgian yeast with some lightly sweet bread malt. The flavor has some nice bitterness, lightly sweet bread, and the same spicy yeast. The body is medium with light carbonation and a long spicy yeast finish.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750 ml bottle into tulip glass, best before 10/2015. Pours slightly hazy bright gold color with a 2 finger dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Dense foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of pineapple, tangerine, lemon, grapefruit, pear, apple, black pepper, floral, grass, light pine, candi sugar, bread, and floral/yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, citrus hops, and pale malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of pineapple, tangerine, lemon, grapefruit, pear, apple, black pepper, floral, grass, pine, candi sugar, bread, and floral/yeast earthiness. Good amount of peppery yeast spice/pine hop bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of pineapple, tangerine, lemon, grapefruit, pear, apple, black pepper, floral, grass, pine, candi sugar, bread, and floral/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, citrus hop, and pale malt sweetness; with a very crisp malt/yeast/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and fairly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with only a slight warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice hoppy Belgian pale ale. All around nice complexity and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, citrus hops, and pale malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.
