Keg @ Blue Mountain. Gold with a small head. The nose is toast, honeyed bread. Countryside grass. The taste is buttered bread. Melon. Soft citrus. Toasty malts. Light body, soft carbonation.

On draft at trio on the OBX. It is clear golden with effervescence and a slight white head. The aromas earthy and the taste is strong bitter flavor that resonates on the palate

On draft at Trio in Kitty Hawk. Pours a clear gold with a thick lacy off white head. Light bready nose. Light bread and biscuit flavors. Very smooth mouthfeel and finish.

Pours a soft clean straw gold with one finger of soft white head. Nose shows a light malty sweetness and herbal hop profile. Very very mild bitterness on the finish. Pretty solid flavor for a lager, not as light as expected. Bready/malty heavy profile with subtle spicy hop character.

Regular old lager, no commecial product like Yuengling but nothing to go out and try.

On tap at the brewery. Effervescent golden beer with a lasting white head. Light grain sweetness with subtle lemon hops. Great compliment to the burger if not a great beer.

On tap at Tyler’s, Durham. Pretty cloudy medium orange pour, medium head. Nose is initially a bit malty like an amber, then some tea-like hops and mild oxidation. Mouthfeel is substantial, lightly prickly in places. Pretty boring brew, not bracing and dry enough to satisfying my lager jones. Would be curious to try fresher (presumably).

Sampled during CBC 2013. Dark golden pour with a small off-white head. Light aroma, pale malts, lightly bready, a hint of spice and earthiness. Light flavor, bready pale malts, a touch of spice. Goes down easy. Not bad at all for what it is.

(US backlog 2012) 8x draught sample flight at VA brewpub 14/ix/12. Mild malty lager, refreshing enough in the late VA summer sun, but mostly muddled (underbrewed, fast-tracked vs. "6 glorious weeks", maybe this is an Old European reservation of mine?), forgettable and slightly meh.

Zero aroma in this brew, and a halfway sucky pour. Amber with no head. Taste is mildly sweet, but aftertaste is skunky (albeit short).
