COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dark Hollow blends the miracle of two crafts--brewing and distillation--to create a work greater than the sum of its parts. An Imperial Stout has been aged in charred American oak bourbon barrels still dripping with uncut whiskey. For 100 days the young beer patiently breathes in and out of the wood, gaining complexity, character, and serious attitude. This ale is always bottle conditioned and can be enjoyed immediately upon its release from the brewery...or five years later, when you dust off the last vintage bottle from your cellar to share with good company.

Solid beer, smooth, Carmel, chocolate, complex. Beer is sweet and pours with little head. A very nice beer but may not be the best choice for similar beers at this price point, however I would buy again

Best Before Dec ’15 - Dark molasses caramel, vanilla and bourbon on the nose. A burst of bourbon is quickly overwhelmed my brown sugar, chocolate & roasty malts and a remarkable smooth finish. The barrel makes another appearance with a mild heat that rests on the tongue. I am very intrigued by the delicious toffee sweetness this beer posseses. There is a rough feeling it leaves on the tip of my tongue that detracts slightly from its delicious silky texture.
