From a 12.7 oz bottle shared at home. Pours a dark cola brown with a thin tan head. Aroma of dark fruits,. Flavors of plum, chocolate and some oak. Very rich mouthfeel and flavors, Smooth finish. Nice.

Tap. Pours opaque black, small tan head, some lacing. Aroma is roasty, coffee. Flavor is bourbon, roasted malt, C chocolate. Medium body, creamy.

Pours deep brown with a thi tan head. Aroma has booze, roast, dark fruit, and slight dark fruit. Flavor has sweet coffee and light bourbon...moves quickly to ash and dust. Mouthfeel is light and thin with a dusty dark fruit/coffee finish.

Bottle. Aroma has notes of roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, vanilla, bourbon, oak and booze. Black hue with a small tan head that mostly diminished and left little lace. Flavor is very sweet and heavy bitter. Palate is very full bodied and oily soft with a long boozy finish. Overall a bourbon bomb that is better warm but still almost too boozy to enjoy. Not balanced well but what is there is good. The palate and finish are a let down.

Nice brew had it on tap at Heaven’s Pizza at Buckroe Beach. Beautiful black or with a light brown head. Flavor is full and rich, but it flows off the palate well.

Bottle: Black, thin to moderate sudsy dark beige head, spotty lacing. Roasty nose, dark chocolate, not getting much bourbon. A bit more noticeable on the tongue. A little bit of charred wood, campfire, and ash. Not on the heavy malt side, not overly bitter, but very smooth. Really ashy I would say, with a soft bourbon/oak aspect. Body and mouthfeel are moderate. Finishes like new oak, soft bourbon, ashy, and charred wood. Respectable Imperial Stout, but it doesn’t wow me like I hoped. Thanks Kevin!

750ml bottle. Dark pour a nice head. Sweet aroma. Cloying sweet with a light bourbon presence. Nice to taste one or twice, but very sweet and difficult to handle in quantity.

Light black with a thin tan head.
Nose is dark malt, chocolate, bourbon notes, dark fruits, woody tones, touch of booze.
Taste comprises dark sugars, dark malts, light roast, chocolate, bourbon, molasses, toffee fudge.
Full bodied, fine carbonation, booze and sugars quite evident in the finish.
Ok stuff if a little over sweet but the bourbon is kept in check pretty well and doesn’t take over the beer.
