dark brown with beige head, it has deep caramel aroma and yeasty flavor. sweet and fruity body resembles the style well, but a bit overhopped for a belgian.

Jul 22, 2008 The aroma is like molasses with yeast, fruit, and hops but it’s weak. The appearance is brown with a foamy, tan head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is thin. Overall a decent beer but weak for the style.

Jun 13, 2008 From dkachur via trade. Thanks again! The pour was gorgeous, look more like a quad than a dubbel to me. Ultra dark with only slight hints of ruby streaming through. The head was perfectly formed, off-white and creamy. The aroma was fairly standard dubbel with the malt and Belgian yeast coming out over some tart fruit and some thin chocolate. The flavor was malt, yeast and cherry with some spices. Unfortunate alcohol heat slips through and the mouthfeel is on the thin side.

May 8, 2008 Nice. Tasty and strong. Dark brown pour with a decent beige head. Flavor and aroma are sugary sweet fruit with only a hint of Belgian yeast. Bready, smooth, flavorful.

May 1, 2008 12 oz. bottle courtesy of alexanderj. Color is a nice, dark leather. Small, light brown head that quickly dissapates. Sweet aroma, some brown sugar. Initial flavor is also a bit sweet, with hints of caramel. Finish is bready malt that turns to roastiness. Very nice beer.
