Always fresh (at least when I get it, always on tap somewhere within an hour of the brewery). Pours a light amber, feels crisp on the palate with a slight citrus back.

From the tap poured an amber color with a fair amount of head. Nice light hoppy flavor with a quick finish.

Draft. Pours gold with a white head. Light citric hoppy aroma, with some sweet malty notes. The flavor is well balanced, with floral and citric hops, and lightly sweet malts. Good stuff.

Bottle/12oz - Fresh from VA, via my Dad... Thanks! Pours a orange-amber in color with a medium white head. Aroma is medium hoppy... floral and just a bit of citrus. Flavor is also medium hoppy with a bit more of the citrus/grapefruit coming through. A bit watery. Some bready malts as a balance. Lingering bitterness. Above average APA...

12 oz. can that I bought in Virginia. A nice lighter tan head sits atop the coppery beer that has a bit of haze. The foam lasted a minute or so. The aroma is light but I found caramel and tangerines. The first sip brings out bitter citrus fruit that is fairly big. Sulfur and caramel. The fruit increases with warmth but the bitterness fades only a little. This was nice.

From a 12 oz can courtesy of Strykzone. Poured a clear amber color with a nice white head. Nose of lightly roasted caramel mats with floral hops and some fruitiness. Medium body with smooth creamy carbonation. Flavor is lightly roasted malts with floral and fruit hops. There is a good bitterness in the flavor and it finishes bitter. Quite a nice APA.

(12oz can, courtesy of blutt59) clear amber, tan bubbles that are creamy. Nose of onion, candied citrus, smells very odd to me. Taste of grapefruit, decent balance, very bitter as it warms with a bad linger though.

Poured from bottle. Aroma of hops, malt and ocean. Dark amber, tan head. Floral and pine hop flavors dominate, with molasses, nut, grass, hay. Dry, crisp feel. Malt more noticeable toward end. Well done.

an acceptable pale ale. . . a bit watery. smelled and tasted like the hops had oxidized a bit.

On cask at Rustico - Alexandria. Served in a pint glass. Pour brings a reddish-hued copper-colored brew with a very slight white head. Given that it’s a full glass, I drank it down a bit and swirled. Not much head creation--just a few bubbles that didn’t last for all that long. The nose was a bit plain with some moderate floral and herbal hops and a bit of bready malt beneath. The taste was interesting with a rather potent front-end bitterness without any real hop flavor or bitterness in the finish, though it was fairly dry. Feel consisted of a medium body with moderate levels of carbonation. Not a bad beer, but nothing too special about it. Serving type: cask Reviewed on: 01-27-2011
