Can in the Outer Banks, NC. Yellow orange pour with a one finger head. Aroma pine, malts, and light citrus. Taste is malty for a pale ale with a well balanced, almost dry bitter finish. Notes of pine and citrus. Bitterness lingers. A good Pale ale.

On tap. Soapy aroma. Tart choppiness dominates - more lemon than tangerine - and gives way to an oaky maltiness. Quaffable.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sampled during CBC 2013. Light amber pour with a small khaki head. Nice but light aroma, citrus, tropical fruits, pine, and a small but nice malt balance. Really nice flavor... digging this one. Nice bitterness balanced well with bready malts, lots of hop character, citrus, pine, fruity, and more. Nice!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz can. Pours a clear amber color with a one finger dense foamy head that that leaves some lacing. Aroma is grainy and grassy, with a hint of citrus. Taste has malt flavors of biscuit and bread that are well balanced with pine, grassy and grapefruit hops. A nice piney bitterness lingers through the finish. Medium bodied and somewhat creamy with moderate carbonation.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle @ Bizou, Cíville. The pourís amber with a small head. The nose is toast, orange peel. A bit of fresh-cut grass. Slightly herbal. Not a massive, expressive nose. A bit faded. The taste is caramel-dipped orange peel. Toasted brown bread. Caramel malt. Mildly bitter on the finish. Medium body, fine carbonation. Overall, probably not the freshest bottle out there. Iíll have to revisit.
