2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 Beerlando (3342) - Orlando, Florida, USA - FEB 15, 2010
From the can (yeah!) pours a clear, medium, golden-amber colored body. Effervescing streams of micro-bubbles scream towards the surface, pooling into a moderate, frothy head of off-white foam. Thick, sticky sheets of lacing coat the entire glass. The nose shows a good deal of aging cereal grain, with stale caramel malt and fading, grassy, slightly piny hops notes. Flavors follow suit, again seemingly a bit stale and grainy, with a slightly oxidized caramel sweetness. Countering bitterness stems from grassy, slightly resinous hop notes. The palate is medium bodied, with most of the heft coming from residual sugars. Finishes on the cloying side, with moderate carbonation throughout. Decent at best.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 fredandboboflo (1570) - East Setauket, New York, USA - FEB 3, 2010
Can. Aroma of floral hops on a bed of caramel, lightly toasted malt. Flavor again lightly toasted and somewhat grainy with a good deal of bitterness. Came out a bit over-carbonated, but that subsided with time. Not a whole lot to get excited about, but it’s alright.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 alexsdad06 (3043) - Ohio, USA - JAN 23, 2010
12 oz. bottle courtesy of dkachur. Pours a clear amber color with a small disappearing off white head. The aroma is caramel malt, light citrus, earthiness and pine. The flavor has some light citrus and caramel, but becomes more earthy, toasted bread, and resiny before finishing dry and bitter. Light to medium bodied; decent, but could use some more flavoring hops.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 LilBeerDoctor (2816) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 5, 2010
Can. Pours a clear orange with a thick white head. Aroma of hop oils, citrus, and grassy hops. Plus a touch of light tropical fruits. Flavor of plenty of hop oils and citrus hops with some caramel malt and light fruits. Super easy drinking. Great simple IPA.

Very good pale ale. Not so pale pour though Dark amber with a creamy head. Aroma of malt sweetness, maybe caramel. Flavor is malty then very bitter. Nice balance. Very dry finish. The best I’ve had from this brewery.
3.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 obguthr (3225) - Poquoson, Virginia, USA - AUG 3, 2009
Draft: Woody caramel and dandelion bouquet. Clear orange pour, medium yellow head and excellent lacing. Thin-medium body tasting of generic creamy bitterness. Woody finish. Nice beer and an IPA more of the English variety than American.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 sinkr (323) - Odenton, Maryland, USA - JUL 17, 2009
Bottle->shaker: pours a large head that exhibits spare lacing atop a clear amber body. Aroma of molasses, grain, and perfume. The body is full, texture alcoholic, with soft carbonation, and finishing astringently. The flavor’s duration is long, being moderately acidic and heavily bitter. Very nice beer--I appreciate it primarily because of it’s being full-bodied w/o being too heavy on the palate.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Elwood (2493) - Leesburg, Virginia, USA - JUL 13, 2009
Draft. Pours an orangish gold with an off-white head. Nose is mostly hops with strong pine and floral notes. Medium carbonation with a medium mouthfeel. More floral notes on the palate, a decent malt backbone, and some resin thrown in too. Medium finish with some lingering bitterness on the tongue. It’s leaves great lacing on the glass. Definitely a good pale ale and one of their top beers, but it is more of an APA than an IPA in my mind.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 CaptainCougar (7093) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - JUN 14, 2009
Bottle sampled on 5/22/08: Pours a transparent copper orange with a thin ring of wispy white head. Aroma of lightly sweet pale malts and some mild citrusy hops. Body starts semi-sweet and slightly grapefruity hoppy with a crisp, drier bittersweet finish. Needs more fullness and hop aroma.
