Light copper color with a big and foamy head. Malty, nutty, slightly sweet. Smooth finish. Lacking punch and hops in the finish.

Pours a soft peachy amber with one finger of off white head. Nose is interesting, very heavy caramel component here. Caramel malt and fruit in the nose, kind of muddled. Very hard to describe the individual flavors/aromas here. Tad bit too much bitterness and way too much caramel malt.

Leighton (10774) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 20, 2013
Can in NYC. Pours clear, rich gold with a huge, off-white cream head. Sugary, bredy and lightly toasted malts on the nose, with notes of fading pine. It tastes alright, medium sweet with bready malts, suggestions of caramel, a bit of dry grass and pine, mellow earth. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Moderately sweet and faintly resinous to finish, with nips of caramel, toasted bread and piney, herbal bitterness. Not bad.

TURDFERGUSON (3948) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - FEB 11, 2013
Can. Pours a hazy orange amber with a fizzy white steady head. Nose is grassy, earthy, and grainy. Flavor is even more grainy, paper, tastes old but they just got these in at the store. I’m going to blame the distributor for now.

UPDATED: AUG 20, 2013 Amber color beer out of the can with a fluffy off white head. Orange peel and hop resin nose. Hoppy beer with lots of orange peel, pineapple and cake. Very tingly on the tongue. Odd bitter/sweet finish. Okay pale ale. Update: i had this on tap at the brewery. Much fresher hop finish. Very nice cascade showcase.

Aromas of citrusy, herbal, earthy hops. Clear gold-bronze with a mostly diminishing, white head. Dry and bitter. Medium bodied with good carbonation, and a short, bitter finish.

Very well executed color (copper amber), lacing, aroma and texture. Pours with an exemplary head and immediately reeks of fine, quality ingredients. The taste starts citrusy with hints of caramel, but the hops soon take over, in a welcome, lasting rush of nicely calibrated bitterness. A very fine pale ale whose quality far exceeds the shoddy design and print job of the can from which it was poured.
