Reviewed 12/21/2012. 12 oz can poured into a pint glass. A: Pours a reddish copper color with top notch clarity for the style. This features one of the best heads Iíve ever seen on a pale ale - three fingers high, with an offwhite shade. The retention level and fluffy texture is quite excellent, and so is the lacing left behind on the glass. S: Tons of bready, caramel malts, grapefruit, and floral notes on the aroma. This one really reeks of Centennial hops, even though this seems to be primarily a Cascade-hopped ale. T: Itís a rather typical pale ale, with citrusy, lemongrass hop flavors backing up a clean malt undercurrent. The malts also seem to develop a nutty, earthy tone after a while, balanced by the hops. No extreme flavors here, just a simple, easy to drink pale ale. M: Very clean and dry on the finish and aftertaste. Has that crisp, refreshing texture that would make it great on a hot day, only with a body that could stand to be less flabby. O: It is what it is - a well crafted, basic pale ale in a can. Really, itís just another SNPA clone, but that just means SNPA is such a great beer to ape. Damnit, I need to buy more canned craft beers ASAP!

Hazy, dark orange colour. Well balanced Pale Ale with enough malt presence to stand up to a fairly strong, bitter hop flavour.

On tap @ Blue Mountain / Afton VA --- Clear light mahogany amber, ivory head, sheets of lace. Taste is a bit of malt that is quickly passed by medium hops. The hops maintain control through the finish. A decent light entry APA, especially for hopheads.

Serves in a can. Nice taste. Great with a burger. Smooth taste with a pleasant aftertaste. Subtle and does not affect the taste of the fruit. Safe social beer for mixed company.

12 ounce can. Small fluffy beige head. Fresh caramel malt nose with a touch of citrus hops. Sweet toasted malt flavor upfront has hints of toffee and fruit. Subtle citrus hops balance the malt nicely. Slightly chewy sweet malt finish. A nice American Pale Ale.

Can. A hazy, dark golden beer with a small, dense, off-white head leaving some curtains. The aroma is rather piney and grapefruity, with some malty notes in the back. Bread hints. Itís full-bodied, smooth and pleasantly carbonated, semi-dry. Nice bitterness in the flavor, some lightly bready malts in the back, and pine cones and grapefruit up front. Lasting finish with some orange zest, grapefruit and bitterness. A bit sweeter than I prefer, but sure a nice one. 150618

Tap. Coppery light orange hue. Caramel, toasted malt, citrusy hops, and some grassiness as well in the aroma. Flavor is similar with some slight bitter grassiness at first, toast, some caramel sweetness, and slight citrus. Lighter to medium body and a little slick.
