Draft. Clear, deep amber with an off white head. Nice piney nose, grapefruit and caramel. Resinous pine flavors, nice grapefruit rind bite. A good brew.

Pours a clear golden amber with a short-lived off-white head that faded to a collar quickly leaving a bit of lacing. Aroma is heavy on roasted malts compared to most pales and has some earthy hop tones as well. The taste has a much bigger hop profile than the aroma and starts off with a pine hop bitterness that lingers throughout. There is a strong caramel malt presence in the middle before the hops hit the palate again in the finish. The bitterness holds the drinkability back a bit, but I enjoyed this one and look forward to other brews from Blue Mountain.

12 oz bottle from a trade with dkachur. pours orange with a nice tan head. very good IPA appearance. aromas are nice and hoppy, mostly citrus hops but some piney aromas too, there is also caramel malt sweetness. flavours are similar to the aromas. very tight and well balanced. not very big or bossy, just a well crafted IPA.

bottle thanks to my wife for getting it on a business trip. poured a medium amber in color with good steady carbonation and a one finger head that left sticky froth down the glass. aroma has malt, spiced fresh hops, and some earthy notes. flavor is a nice balance of sweetness, sharp hops, malt, and caramel. mouth feel is medium and fits it well with plenty of carbonation. light citrus peel creeps in mixing with the bitterness in the finish. very pleasant and fresh tasting.

Can. Aroma of floral hops on a bed of caramel, lightly toasted malt. Flavor again lightly toasted and somewhat grainy with a good deal of bitterness. Came out a bit over-carbonated, but that subsided with time. Not a whole lot to get excited about, but it’s alright.
