Been going down the list of Blue Mountain when i see them and the pale ale was rather normal. Good and easy drinking but nothing that i would stock as a go to APA.

Pours an appetizing clear amber with a thick pale buff head. Malty aroma has a nice hoppy tone and a hint of grapefruit. Flavor is hoppier and has more grapefruit, sour and bitter and satisfying. Firm texture has lively fizz and a nice hoppy finish. Grab one.

Tap at the hotel bar I stayed at in Richmond, VA pours clear dark orange with a small white head and sparse lacing. Big herbal nose with some lite resin. Flavors of grapefruit big nice grapefruit and an earthy herbal quality. This is very solid! I had this in the bottle and it was awful not even rateable. Long p iney finish with lingering grapefruit and herbal qualities. Body is crisp with moderate carbonation. Very solid pale ale!

A better than average pale ale. A little creamier than I usually prefer, but with a great balance of bready malts and some floral hops.

Draft at Beer and Bacon. Pours almost clear with bubbly off white head. Tastes like dry hops, astringent citrus, very light sweetness. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like musky grains with light citrus.

From a can this stuff looks viscous because of the head. Yes, nice fine foamy head goes rocky. Smells bready hop flowers. Quite strong, must be near 7%. Borders on the bitterness of an IPA, wew. So, if you like IPA ignore my numbers and try this one big dull kick in the jaw. Finish is long bitter medicine.

From a can at the Thorton River Grille, Sperryville, VA. Dark gold body with clean white head with staying power. Malt with slight sharp fruity tones. Bitter after test that was initially surprising but balances the initial malt favor well.

Aroma of malty caramel. Taste is mostly malty caramel as well some bitter finishing hops to balance but mostly malt. Not sweet though. Well balanced. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
