blklab2007 (507), Connecticut, USA Apr 22, 2008 bottle thanks to my wife for getting it on a business trip. poured a medium amber in color with good steady carbonation and a one finger head that left sticky froth down the glass. aroma has malt, spiced fresh hops, and some earthy notes. flavor is a nice balance of sweetness, sharp hops, malt, and caramel. mouth feel is medium and fits it well with plenty of carbonation. light citrus peel creeps in mixing with the bitterness in the finish. very pleasant and fresh tasting.
Nate (2195), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 25, 2008 From bottle, courtesy of dpuart. Light grassy herbal hop nose, with some grapefruit peel and a bit of chemical astringency. Sweet brown sugar notes, too. Golden amber clear with thin off-white lacing head. Medium body with medium carbonation. Starts with a bit of brown sugar sweetness before the bitterness takes over. Astringent bitterness, harsh until the end. Unpleasant. Dry bitter after. dpjuart (520), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 22, 2008 7/20/08 - Draft sample at brewery. Pours clear amber/orange with eggshell head. Medium carb. Nose is slight hops and caramel. Taste is spicy American hops, citrus and floral with moderate bitter and good balance. Very nice pale ale. nick76 (1970), Tampa, Florida, USA Jul 22, 2008 The aroma is malty and hoppy with a touch of leaves. The appearance is golden with a nice head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is typical for the style. Overall a nice beer. Palidor19 (1207), Brandon, Florida, USA Jul 22, 2008 very good, not too bitter but enough to satisfy the hop lover. the beer has some good malts that makes this a great session
