COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The biggest beer we’ve ever brewed at Blue Mountain, coming in at almost 12 percent alcohol by volume. But it’s also one of the lightest-colored brews we’ve ever created! Brewed solely with Pilsner and Vienna malts, and we used the same amount of barley it would take to make 1000 gallons and packed into just 500 gallons worth of the smoothest, fullest-bodied, strongest winter brew you’ve ever had. This lager defies most standard beer categorization (Germans would put it in the Doppelbock category), but we’re calling it a blonde Triplebock. The name says it all... It won’t take many of these and a long winter’s nap will be all you’re capable of doing.

2010 - 12% ABV
2011 - 10.5% ABV

Light amber, no head. Richmond 17th. Big alcohol aroma, some malt sweetness. Big sweet flavor, loads of caramel. Just enough hop bitterness to balance out on the finish. Not my favorite style, but a good take on it. Courtesy dkachur.

Draft. Pours gold with a whin head. Honey sweet aroma, with bready malts and fruity melon-like notes. The flavor has honey, peach, bready malts, caramel, and light toasty notes. Solid.

Drake (5231) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - DEC 30, 2010
Served on draft at the brewpub. Pours a clear golden color with a medium creamy white head. Good head retention and lacing. Big bready and doughy aroma with grainy malts, faint fruity notes and caramel. The taste is bready malts, raisins, caramel, toffee and some booziness. Medium-full bodied. Interesting beer.
