COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A French/Belgian-inspired ale of epic proportions. Deep blonde color, spicy nose, rich mouthfeel, and a kiss of French and American hop character. 9% abv.

NOTE: All Barrel House versions (bottled and draft) should go here. The versions of Mandolin from 2011 and earlier should go under the appropriate style entry.

Poured an amberish color from the bottle with aromas of wood, zest, light citrus and some vinegar. Flavors follow suit, light caramel thrown in as well, interesting beer, just not my style.

750 ml bottle shared by brew3crew. Pours a clear amber color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have some citrus, orange zest, wood, herbal notes, caramel sweetness, funk, cardboard. This was not what I expected. I almost bought this myself while on a trip and am glad I didn’t.

Thought this was the best Blue Mountain offering of the night. Sessionalble and tasty with a little bit of saison feel.

2013-08-16. Golden amber body with a small white head. 3+ Nice bready pale malt character, lightly yeasty. Flavour is dry, bready pale malt and moderate bitterness throughout. 7+ Average plus bodied palate. Pretty nice, enjoyable. At Campground Brewdown.

Bottle I brought to Brewdown. Pours cloudy orange gold with white head. Nose and taste of bread, wheat malt and tea. Lightly sweet. Medium body.

750 cc from Wine Seller Willaimsburg. Pours clear deep copper with 1-finger creamy, off-white head. Nose is tart fruit, hops, malt, some diacetyls. Tastes very tart fruity, funky, with hops, and a lot of lactose and diacetyls. This one was flawed, and I will try it again and re-rate.

Draft at Roasthouse Pub in Frederick, MD. Served in a tumbler, coppery-brown color with white head. Aroma of sweet malt, fruity yeast, light peppery-like spices and some light sour notes. Taste is sweeter then aroma leads on, like a fruity/honey sweetness, balanced with grassy hops. Light body, moderate carbonation, soft, some chewey sweetness with a tart crisp finish. Easy to drink and tasty, I need to find more of this style.

Draft. Pours clear medium brown. Tastes like pine hops, floral hops, bread, and nuts. Light body and medium carbonation. Smells like wheat, nuts, and fermentation.
