Aromas of citrus fruit, floral hops, and some vanilla. Clear orange-gold with a lasting, white head. Very balanced, with some vanilla flavors, and some citrusy and floral flavors. Medium bodied, very smooth, carbonation is average, and the finish is clean and malty.

Draft at the brewpub. Pours a clear amber color with a thin creamy off-white head. Fair head retention. Aroma of floral, herbal hops, mild resin notes, caramel malts and mild wood. The taste is caramel malts, citrus and floral hops, mild oak accent. Medium bodied, refreshing. Nice beer.

Draft at the brewpub on 2/10/2013 We stopped off for lunch after a weekend at Snowshoe. The IPA poured a very clear light amber with a small slightly off-white head. I could not detect the oak on the nose but it did soften the bitterness from the hops. A very smooth IPA that is most drinkable. The cabonation was average and the ale had a medium body. The finish was pleasant with only gentle bitterness.

Draft at the brewpub on 1/19/2013. Poured a light copper color, nice slightly off-white head. Aroma was a lot more barrel than either hop or malt characters. Flavor is some vanilla oak notes, with some woody notes, touch of light hops in there.
