4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Elwood (1966) - Leesburg, Virginia, USA - OCT 30, 2011
Serving: Draft at Fireworks. It pours a cloudy dark orange with a foamy, white head. The nose is slightly German with a bit of clove. The flavor is pretty clean, a cross between an American and German wheat. Nice light yeast notes, some clove, a dose of wheat grain, and a slight bitterness on the back end. Light to medium body with average carbonation and a fairly clean finish. Really quite good.
