UPDATED: FEB 20, 2013 Aromas of grape candy, oranges, and some caramel. Clear, reddish-amber, with a moderately retaining, white head. Lightly sweet, nutty flavors balanced by floral, hop bitterness. Medium bodied with average carbonation, and a fruity, bitter finish.

12oz can from Pace High Carryout. Amber pour with an off-white head that leaves a slight ring. Aroma is caramel and earthy. Tastes are caramel, apple, citrus, biscuity, tea, toasted malt, yeasty. Quite like the taste, but the palate left me hanging a bit - low carbonation, slick, little watery. Overall good though.

12oz can. Pours a deep clear red amber with a medium long lasting thick beige head. Toasted caramel malt, grains, yeast and bready notes fill the nose, with some fruity notes and mild hops bitterness. A medium body with moderate carbonation, and mild sticky mouth feel on the palate. The finish is a combination of sweet toasted caramel malt, yeast fruity notes and mild bitterness on the end for balance. A very well made, balanced and tasty brew. drink some.

12oz can, Iím pretty sure I got this from Perfect Pour. Sticker on the bottom reads 03/2014. Amber-red color. Thin ring of off-white head. Some dots of lace. Smooth, crisp, lighter carbonation. Lightly slick. Medium body. Caramel malt, some toasty malt. Some orange citrus. Lightly spicy. Moderate bitter taste. Light spicy sweet. OK ESB. A little metallic, bitter, and abrupt, but not bad. Probably better fresh. A lot of bitter orange peel in the flavor, right now.

Pretty good showing for style. Pours orangish brown with good head and lacing. Good balance, nice crisp malt. Good mix overall of elements. Tap at RFD in Chinatown.

From a can, no visible co2. Sweeter smell. Brownish orange. Scummy head. First taste hides alky well. Not as cloying as the aroma would indicate. Grows a little malty bitter during the session. Very fine light co2 on the palate but for the most part, kindah flat. Yes, malty without hardly any hops. Has a medium medicinal finish at the end of the can. Not sure if Iíd drink another.

Malty. Caramel. Herbal. Smooth and silky, really well balanced. Light caramel notes, light body, lingering traces of bitterness, in a good way. Super easy to drink, better than I remember from the bottle version.

From a bottle poured a straw color with a fair amount of head. Light hoppy malty flavor with a quick finish.

In a can (but have had it at the brewery aplenty, and is the same). Huge aroma of honey and licorice. Flavors of same, plus some acute -- and needed -- bittering that brings some balance. Sticky molasses on the finish, and maybe more than would be ideal... but who cares? A marvelous beer.

Can into pint glass, clear deep red amber color with light tan head. Aroma of caramel, toast and light citrusy/fruity hops. Taste adds some nuttiness and a note of citrus rind (lemon, orange). Medium body, low-average carbonation, creamy, soft, slick with slight bitter finish. Pretty citrusy ESB, good.

Keg @ Blue Mountain. The pourís amber with a small head. Toasted bread and caramel on the nose. Red berry. Somewhat tangy flavors. Lightly yeasty. Toasted brown bread. Nicely dynamic, lively on the palate. Good stuff.
