Pours a beautiful dark golden, topped with a good inch of firm head. The aroma is big on classic Saaz aromas, lemongrass, hay, orange blossom, all backed with a nice toasted grain note. The taste is sweet malts with a light biscuit thing going on, with the bite of hops bringing sweet relief. A lovely beer.

(on tap) A clear yellow body with a small white head. Aroma of straw, pale malt, hints of bubblegum and floral notes. Flavor is sweet (fruit, bubblegum, honey), and mildly hoppy (citrus). Pilsner malt flavor. Good body--medium to full, a little chewy, and carbonated. A very enjoyable pilsner.

Almost no head. Sweet malt aroma, very little hops. Pours a light tan color. Overly sweet malty body with a somewhat strange and unbalanced mix of hops. Missing the crisp taste that I’m used to in pilsners, and doesn’t quite measure up to other imperial pilsners. I was expecting a much better beer based on the reviews, but it just didn’t measure up.

This is the best beer so far this summer. The alcohol is not listed I think it is 8-9% ABV. The growler was given to me for my vacation at Holden Beach. The Pils was saved for steamed crabs with my two sons and daughter. We all raved about the beer. It was full body with perfect malt and a creamy texture. The higher alcohol is detected but is a joy. This is a beer to be enjoyed with food and just sitting and looking at the ocean. Smooth finish with a lingereing taste of malt. The pils poured with a big head and deep straw color. Much lacing. This was one growler I just did not want it to end.

Draught at capital ale house. pours a golden yellow color. a: wheat, hay, fresh spring day. t: crisp, nice clean hop flavor that des not overtake the pilsner taste but balances the flavors well, big citrus with great carbonation, nice beer that can be pounded on a hot day.

Draft. Pours a crystal clear yellow with a foamy white head. It has a light nose with hints of perfume and a bit of malt. Medium carbonation with a medium mouthfeel. Grain, alcohol, and light Saaz hop spiciness. Medium-short finish with a little lingering booziness. Great on a hot day and with an extra kick!
