Pinstripe Stout is our winter seasonal, a rich, chocolaty dessert stout that comes in at 8% ABV and has freshly ground local coffee added in the fermenter. We took a portion of last years batch and have been aging it in freshly dumped bourbon barrels from Kentucky. The result is Pinstripe with more complex flavors of vanilla, char, oak and bourbon to play against the coffee and chocolate. This bourbon infused dessert beer can now be referred to as a nightcap.

In Japan a round of golf cost $12,000. You play from rooftop to rooftop, the balls are made of rice and when you’re done you sleep in a tube.

Bottle from wish you were beer. Pours black with a thin khaki head. Has a bit of bourbon on the nose but it’s more faint than I expected. Leaves some lacing in the glass. Tastes a bit like bourbon and dirt on the tongue. It does hide the alcohol fairly well. Not feeling this one.

Bomber thanks to me. Pours black with little head. Musty boozy nose. Flavors of bitter cacao bourbon barrel and a bit of sweetness. Decent but a bit amateuress.

Bottled. Pours a dense black with a small quickly disappearing head. One note aroma, all bourbon, but hey I like bourbon! Flavor is about as subtle as a hammer, with bourbon taking over pretty much everything else. A little thin bodied for the style. Still, I enjoyed this sipper.

22 oz. bottle shared at First Sunday. Black pour, with a small, tan head. The aroma is new oak, syrup, caramel, and coffee. Negligible bourbon notes. Sweet and malty, with a dry finish. Medium body, smooth, and clean. Overall, this is a weak stout base, with very little added from the bourbon barrel treatment.
