Keg pour at RC Brewfest. Dark, wine red appearance with a thick, solid head. Very rich aroma - malty with some floral and a bit of sweetness. Very full, rich flavor - strong malt with a lot of hops as well. Nice balance of bitterness and sweet. Great beer - I’ll be drinking more of it.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Suttree (3925) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - APR 2, 2012
Red, as you might expect. Smells like an amber ale, which makes sense, I suppose. Taste is caramel and black pepper. Lightly hoppy. Nothing earth shattering, but simple and tasty. Sampled at the 2012 East Nashville Beer Festival.

I was really excited to try this beer being that is from my home state. It turns out it was an extremely disappointing experience. On tap at Amsterdam Cafe, Auburn, AL. The aroma was overwhelmingly one of alcohol and very yeasty, really it smelled off. Taste was strong alcohol and something off that really didn’t taste like beer at all, like a home brew gone very wrong. Overall really terrible beer, very disappointing.
1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 Itzjerm (274) - Taft, Tennessee, USA - SEP 16, 2011
Tried this at Huntsville Beer Week at Famous Joes Pizza. It was very very bad, I couldn’t finsh the bear. Flavor was yeast slight malt and water (maybe it was the bottom of the keg. Had strong flavor of dish water. I later sampled it, and it tasted nothing like at Famous Joes... seems very inconsistent.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20 DiarmaidBHK (1527) - Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 3, 2011
Draft at Stem and Stein. Pours amber with no head. Nose is cloying with strong alcohol. A bit of maltiness on the tongue. Lots of hoppiness on the finish. A weirdly imbalanced beer. Not exactly pleasurable to drink.

Growler from Bleeng. Pours a dark amber with a very small quickly diminishing light tan head. The aroma is raisin malt and caramel. Thin mouthfeel and a bit flat with a smokey oak finish. A good amber from Blue Pants.

Thanks to bleeng for sending this to Houston. Mahogany red pour....sadly it lost some carbonation. Sweeter malt nose with some brown sugar notes. Flavor is roasted malts, biscuit, some hops and has a nice finish.

Draft @ the Nook. Hazy brown in the glass with a creamy off-white head, that left some lasting and good lace. Nice chocolate aroma with a hint of a nut undertone. The chocolate flavor with a backing of light roast, nut, and hop. Medium body, smooth, malty aftertaste.
