from Mondial de la Bière, Strasbourg - quite clear dark amber-orange colour with a solid bright creamy beige head left; nice lacework; the nose shows solid hoppy notes with quince and resins; piney and honey presence; slightly sticky and full-bodied, a solid bitterness and a pretty dry finish; creamy and bitter fruity and piney hoppy aftertaste - very drinkable and very good

Growler shared by nimbleprop: Pours a transparent dark copper orange with a spotty-lacing off-white head. Aroma of sweet toasty dark caramel and some fresh piny resiny hops. Starts with pretty good fullness and rich dark caramel sweetness with a crisp piny hop flavor before a drier grassy bittersweet finish.

On tap at Ginger Man Norwalk. Poured a near clear amber with a red hue and a white head that lasted throughout the beer and laced nicely. Aroma was a combination of citrus and grapefruit with a bit of a backing pine bite. Flavor started with grapefruit and mellowed into a bit of a sweeter citrus finish.

In short: A sharp, dry, toasted and grapefruity IPA. Very nice.
How: Tap at Prime 16, New Haven, CT.
The look: Clear dark golden body topped by a long-lasting small off-white head
In long: Strong nose of grapefruity hops and some citrus fruits. Taste has a lot of toasted cereals but with a pleasantly low apparent sweetness level. Bitterness is assertive and sharp with bitter grapefruits, citrus fruits, and a bit of pine-tree. Finish is dry with an astringent and bitter grapefruits skin flavour. This is my type of IPA. Plus I liked that pub (Prime 16) where I had the beer located next to the prestigious Yale University. Kids, eat your school, stay in drugs, and don’t do vegetables. I’ve personally only succeeded with the middle one.
