rocbyter (636), Waterbury, Connecticut, USA Apr 20, 2008 Hooray you can finally get Blue Point in Connecticut. Light blueberry aroma with hints of malts. Very light clear orange color with a small white head. Light and mildly sweet to start off. Blueberries come through in the finish with a tangy sour flavor. Lots of carbonation in the end.
RunDWP (159), San Jose, California, USA Sep 4, 2008 Bottle. Blueberry aroma upon opening the bottle and after pour. Dark yellow with a head that came and went. Malty, with an orange peel bitterness and of course, the blueberry. Good balance of flavors and restraint with the blueberry. I did note an acidic flavor which receeded as it warmed up a little. Nice change of pace, refreshing brew. kennydiaz (58), staten island, New York, USA Sep 4, 2008 BLUEBERRY TASTE IS STRONG BUT NOT OVERWHELMING. AVERAGE BEER NOTHING I WILL GO OUT OF MY WAY FOR. dangelicom1 (17), Shelton, Connecticut, USA Aug 25, 2008 this is my favorite blueberry beer and fruit beer as well. It can very easily be a session beer. It has a very clean, refreshing taste that can be enjoyed year round, it is brewed very fresh and you can taste the freshness while you drink it. The blueberry flavor is not over powering, it does not taste like pie. it is a great golden ale that has come form a break out brewery in this area. I am not a huge fruit beer fan and this impressed me greatly Frauditor (127), Hagerstown, Maryland, USA Aug 14, 2008 bottle from hilltop. drank from the bottle so i didn’t get a good look at the hue or head. tastes were obviously blueberry and lightly hopped. not the greatest fruit beer but not terrible either. rugbydude05 (163), Kew Gardens, New York, USA Aug 13, 2008 On tap at the brewery in LI. Was expecting sort of a gimmick beer but I was very impressed. Pours a transparent golden color, very prominent sweet blueberry aroma. Taste was very subtle compared to the aroma and palate was smooth. Only knock is that it tasted a bit watered down.
