DC (14) - New York, USA - MAY 18, 2003
This brew poured golden, honey-amber with a thickish off-white head and minimal lacing. As regards the head retention, it didn't las long, but a wisp remained throughout. Aroma is of sweet, roasted malt, honey, ginger and lemon rind. A lot of freshness here, you can tell from the smell this will be a good drinking brew. Mouthfeel is medium to full. Initial flavors are pink grapefruit, honey and hop bitterness, but the aftertaste is generally sweet and lingering. This is a good, unusual American beer, pretty damned drinkable. Don't know what the ABV is yet, but there is subdued alcohol strength, so I am thinking around 6+ percent.

On tap at Birdsall House. Pours a lightly hazed golden amber with a thin white head. Sweet candy and grain, floral candy. Floral and sweet, lightly grainy. Smooth, light caramel, a touch empty. Big grainy bitterness, smooth overall and decent enough.

On tap at Lazy Boy. Pours clear golden with white head. Aroma and flavor is mostly grain with some floral hop and citrus notes. Pretty easy drinking. Didn’t think the ABV would be this high.

BREWMUSKCLES (1685) - New Jersey, USA - JUL 27, 2010
interesting to enjoy a blond that is powered up with hops and an alcohol that is amped as well but still not apparant. the brew looks golden pale and really beer geeks (like me) could tell what was going on by looking at it. the brew has a light bar soap taste and finish with wheat and is chalky as well as refreshing. the lye like soap flavor competes with that blonde ale character of deepness and in the end leaves me just a little short with vegetable and sweetness.

beerbill (2938) - Laurel, New York, USA - OCT 2, 2009
On tap at the brewery. Pours a somewhat darkened hazed gold with a moderate off-white head. Pleasant aroma of malt along with some very light fruit. The flavor is similar and is again mostly malt with some light fruit flavor and sweetness. Moderate bitterness at the finish. Not all that exciting, but no problems either.

Naka (642) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 3, 2008
On tap at D’s in Monroeville. Pours a clear golden color with a small foamy bone white head. Some nice lacing. Nose of sweet apple, fresh grass clippings, and a mild hop bitterness. Very crisp, yet kind of weak flavor. A little pilsy with a slight fruit character and dry mild hop finish. Pretty light body with a good bitey carbonation.

There is nothing interesting about this beer. If you could possibly imagine an "Imperial Budweiser" as in, a Bud that is given some extra attention in all categories minus the skunk, you basically have this. So what we are left with is a little bit of honey sweetness and a little bit of hop backing, but nothing that really makes it worth anything.
