Amber color. Strong fruity hops (grapefruit…). The body structure is not very complex, the bitterness is pleasant, and very long.

Bottle at The Ginger Man, NYC. Light orange color with white head. Mild citrus and hops in the aroma. Gently carbonated, dry, and light bodied. A touch of citrus in the flavor and a moderate hop prescence throughout. At best an average IPA.

UPDATED: MAR 28, 2006 Clear light orange with a very soapy lacy head. Clean almost soapy aroma. Nice clean hop aroma. A very nicely done IPA. No resin, no tongue scraping dryness. Big grapfruit. A very different and very drinkable session IPA.

Bottle. Light golden in colour, fizzy white head, some lace. The aroma was hoppy first (lots of orange zest, pine and grapefruits) and some caramel malts. The flavour was lightly malty (some caramel sweetness) with a moderate moderate amouts of citrus hops. Bitter mouthfeel, light body, medium carbonation. Finishes with a lingering hop bitterness.

Very fresh hop character from start to finish. Aroma is intensely piney. Light straw gold color with good lacing. Generously hopped flavored with a strong finish. Superb beer.

UPDATED: APR 30, 2007 The Lure:
Dry-hopped leafy goodness proffers blossoming starfruit, grapefruit, and oranges. A well-retained head sits there, idly decorating the hop perfume. If you want a hoppy quaffer, this is quite attractive.

The Festivities:
Oranges salute the sweet malt in their supportive but never expressive role, but soon dance with the bold resinous, wooden hop bitterness. Mouthfeel makes it a pleasurable quencher, and carries the flavors efficiently.

A bouquet of flowers rarely disappoints.

On cask at Mahar’s:
The superb balance between citrusy hops and biscuity maltiness, aided by the smooth natural carbonation of the cask, has prompted me to raise my score a bit more.

Bottle: Translucent golden, moderate foamy white head, fairly attractive lacing, light carbonation.   Wet hop aroma, fairly subtle, with very minor sweaty sock.   Soft hop tea up front, hops linger yet the bitterness is actually quite mild.   This is a very gentle IPA.   Moderate to full body and mouthfeel, for as passive as this is.   A lighter sessionable IPA, tasty!   Thanks Dan!

Very nice, a clear amber color with a fizzy head that doesn’t loiter, but coats the glass in lacing before it leaves. Great hop aroma, orange petals, pine, grapefruit - and I wantefd it to be more intense. Too much sweet malt got through! Medium-bodied and sweet, it is now the hops that dominate in the mouth (and down the gullet). Intense without overwhelming, the serious bitter flavor makes the brew work for this hop-head. The finish is bitter and oddly dry. I need to swallow more to make sense of this.

UPDATED: OCT 20, 2006 08.03.05 Tap @ JP MacGrady’s. Copper-amber, dense khaki head fades. Absolutely reeking of c-hops, amarillo. Soft, full body tending towards syrupy slickness up front, but tailing off to a rough driness. Citrus and dry finish with lots of sweetness.

Upping the score a few notches here (prev 8-4-7-3-13 - 3.5). This stuff has grown on me lately and it really is a great looking beer, too. I like the grating resinous nature in the way the hops close the deal in this stuff...I didn’t like that as much the first time around.
