3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap at Goodbar. Clear gold, no real head. Fruity hop nose with cotton candy malt. Flavor is sweet malt, buttery hops. Smooth but not a whole lot going on.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Golden with a big firm white head. Sweet, oily and piney aroma, hints of grass and pine-apples. Fruity flavour of pines and yellow fruit. Grassy bitter finish.

3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Golden light brown colour. Deep piney hops with light but chewy malts. Somewhat thin body, though. Flavour continues with the aromatic themes of chewy crystal malt and piney hops. As the glass goes on, I get increasingly bored.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, tupalev & jerc -- courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pours a clear gold with a small frothy white head. Aroma and flavour are quite hoppy and also consist of light malt and some citrus. It smells great and the taste is nicely balanced. I found it quite enjoyable and would gladly have it again.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle shared with HogTownHarry, blankboy, tupalev & jerc - courtesy of HogTownHarry. Clear amber-gold with a small, quick head. Big aroma of leafy hops and sour pine. Typical body and flavour for the style. Not bad, but no real character or uniqueness to get excited about. Meh.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
HI starts off with a large head of sticky froth that covers a rather clear gold body.
Bready light malt in the aroma along with a good grapefruit hop presence.
More bitter in the flavor than sweet, the balance is nice and doesn’t fall off short.
I didn’t try this in Montreal, but I ’m glad I brought a six back to Tennessee. Not too shabby really.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: AUG 24, 2005 Bottle (12oz) shared with blankboy, jerc, tupalev & gregclow - bottles from me and blankboy. Reddish-gold pour, small frothy white head, quick diminishing, thin lacing. Aroma of lemon, pine, alcohol (sour wine), not really much hop nose. Flavour is hoppier, almost balanced with light malt, slightly bitter, mulchy, average linger. Average carbonated, slightly watery mouthfeel, soft on the palate, slight tang of iron filings, not too challenging overall.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sample from 12 oz bottle at RBSG, Montreal. Clear, bright copper-amber color, wispy head...big pungent, smelly nose with touches of oak...light-bodied, slightly sticky on the tongue, a bit woody with subtle grassy bitterness growing towards the finish...nothing really special but pleasant enough.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bright, gold looking ale with average at most head. Aroma of sweet malt with decent hop aroma. The pale ale is dry hoppy at front with medium deep malt behind. Leaves pleasant aftertaste. Over all good IPA, dry with enough malt behind to have pleasure from having it.

RBSG 2005. Golden yellow with a moderate white head. Big leafy hop aroma. Flavour is quite bitter but not in an entirely pleasant way. Lemon. Average-touch thin palate. Disappointing.
