Aroma is definitely citrus and doughy, pours dark golden, clear, with a minimal white head and some lacing on the glass. This has a good taste; light with just a small taste of the hops. Sticky with average carbonation. A little bit of a bitter finish. I’d say this is pretty good if you’re having more than one :-)

Bottle from Cork 57. Hazy orange body with thin head. Nose is hoppy, sweet, tangy. Taste is lots of hops but also nice caramel and honey notes. Really sharp and satifsying finish. Good stuff

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 9/1/2015. Pours slightly hazy golden orange color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pine, light honey, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/piney hops and moderate bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pine, light honey, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Good amount of pine/citrus rind bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, lemon/orange peel, citrus rind, pine, light honey/bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness, complexity, and balance of citrus/piney hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Good amount of dryness from bitterness as well. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp/resinous/sticky, and slightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice IPA style. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/piney hops and moderate bready malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

35 cl bottle broght over from Manhattan, NY. Astonoshing psychedelic packaging. Deep dark golden to amber color, clear, short thick offwhite head, lacing. Fresh smell of hops. Aroma: grapefruit, pine, fruity esters and resins (ananas, passion fruit, mango, apricot), citrus, caramel malts. Balanced taste, bitter finish. Medium body, thick creamy texture, soft carbonation, fairly dry finish a bit sticky. Nice and clean american ipa, very tasty, loved it.

growler to glass. pours a medium orange color with eggshell head with mild lacing. the aroma is mild to medium malt base with mild to medium hop nose, mostly medium citrus blend. the flavor starts out medium malt and hoppy and then the illusion takes hold and quickly dies off. this does have a good flavor and then mysteriously falls off the tongue to never land. I could say another ab inbev flop so why not...just needs some tweaking.

Sweet smell with a bready finish. Pine resin up front with a dry malty finish. Nice carbonation on the palate. Love the play on words draws me in every time.

I continue to have positive experiences with Blue Point's line up of brews, this their IPA was a pleasant exceptionally malty rendition of the style. Standard amber/copper IPA appearance, aroma is citrus and herbal hops and warm malty notes. Taste has a strong caramel malt baseline with a suddenly tart piney bitter finish. Balanced overall but there is more flavor intensity on the malty side than on the hoppy side. Finishes dry, medium bodied. Surprisingly strong ABV, no boozy notes in the taste. I would drink this again.

This was poured into a nonic pint glass. The appearance was a soft bronzed burnt brown color with a slim transparency about it. Carbonation rises at a nice pace. A one finger white foamy head dissipated within less than a minute. Lacing clung nicely in a mild filmy foamy manner. The smell had some earthy and grassy hops rolling over a light herbal quality and having a nice caramel backbone to it. The taste copied the smell and added a light tobacco in the aftertaste and finish. On the palate, this one sat fairly dry with an okay sessionability about it. Carbonation felt right as an IPA. Bitterness seemed decent. Overall, I don’t mind it for me, but there’s a part of me that wants to say this is closer to an English IPA because of the way the hops come across and the smell and flavor. I could see myself having this again.
