COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Mosaic Session IPA is a light, straw-colored, West Coast version that showcases serious aroma. It features Mosaic, Simcoe, and Centennial hops that lend strong tropical fruit characteristics to a light body and dry finish. You wonít be able to drink just one Ė and with less than 5% ABV, you donít have to. Mosaic Session IPA is an homage to Blue Point Brewing Companyís storied history, a tale that is preserved on the original Tasting Room bar top that dates to 1997. Itís also one of the most personal beers weíve crafted in a long time. Like the brewery itself, itís been a work in progress. Our history is very much a mosaic Ė made up of a lot of talented people with a passion for brewing, and we think this latest brew is where our past meets our future.

Pours a clear Amber with a decent ivory head. Strongly hoppy aroma is mainly evergreen. Fresh-cut pone dominates the flavor, letting a malty hint through and leaving just a little bitterness. Texture has average viscosity but good fizz. Drinkable.

UPDATED: DEC 9, 2014 Underwhelming all around, pours straw color with faintly detectable hop aroma of grass. I feel like they went too far with the ísessioní theme, muting everything IPA in this to the point where itís not really enjoyable.

glennmastrange (2324) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - NOV 10, 2014
Bottle. Light to moderate malt aromas of grain and roasted, heavy pine, grapefruit and orange for the hops, light soap for the yeast. Head is small, fizzy, translucent white with slippery lacing and is moslty diminishing. Color is slightly hazy yet sparkling light amber. Flavor starts lightly to moderately acidic, then finishes lightly bitter. Palate is light to medium, watery with a fizzy carbonation. This beer has an awesome aroma, but because itís Session IPA you have to expect a lighter flavor.

12oz bottle from Spirits Manawkin. Poured a hazy nectar gold under a smaller white frothy head thar leaves spoty lace. Aroma of eraser shavings, apricot skins, dry citrus, tropical fruit rinds, honey topped bread. Medium body, stronger carbonation, average to quicker fading aftertaste. Flavor grains, old citrus, tangerine rind, hint of lemon and dry hop cones.

Amber/gold appearance with a medium size, off white head and modest lacing. Aroma of soft fruit and citrus. Citrus flavors are more pronounced up front as the soft, tropical fruit recedes. Sweet malts make small dent in the aftertaste. Well carbonated with a lingering, spicy finish.

9/30/14. 12oz bottle from Five Points. Blue Point catching on to buzz words or what? Mosaic Session IPA? Some intern at AB must be reading the boards. I was hoping against all odds that this wouldnít suck. I was wrong. Lightly hazed orange pour under a small khaki head with okay lacing. Taking a big whiff, I get malty doughiness, too much, and old hops and metal. Ugh. This old? I really need to learn to check before I buy in Valdosta. But I bought a 4-pack of Dark Penance on this trip and that is BRAND NEW. Anyway, I search around the bottle. Code on the neck says BTLD 06/04/14. My birthday! Which was 4 months ago. Iím no snob, but this has suffered. Malty, doughy, straw flavor, biscuity, just a hint of citrus and diesel, and probably only because I know it should be. If someone handed me this bottle blind there is no way I would guess it was a session IPA/APA/IPA/whatever. Metallic tinge lingers on my tongue. Waste of $9 and itís not even high boost.

12oz bottle dated 5/15/14. Pours golden with a white head. Pretty decent IPA for the style. Nice hop bitterness, citrus and some slight pine. Nothing spectacular but goes down easy and packs a surprising amount of flavor for such a lightweight beer.

Light amber lasting foamy white head; hoppy cedary aroma; Flava is hops and funky woodsy notes; feels medium with a fizzy zing; finishes dry tangy bitter

Draft at Big Bobs - pours a lighter gold . Huge tropical fruit nose . A little disappointed in how light the body was , but solid . ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
