COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Mosaic Session IPA is a light, straw-colored, West Coast version that showcases serious aroma. It features Mosaic, Simcoe, and Centennial hops that lend strong tropical fruit characteristics to a light body and dry finish. You won’t be able to drink just one – and with less than 5% ABV, you don’t have to. Mosaic Session IPA is an homage to Blue Point Brewing Company’s storied history, a tale that is preserved on the original Tasting Room bar top that dates to 1997. It’s also one of the most personal beers we’ve crafted in a long time. Like the brewery itself, it’s been a work in progress. Our history is very much a mosaic – made up of a lot of talented people with a passion for brewing, and we think this latest brew is where our past meets our future.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 2/27/2014. Moderate gusher upon opening. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy bright gold color with a 1-2 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, apricot, lemon zest, orange peel, floral, grass, light pine, cracker, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of bright citrus/tropical hops and light-moderate pale malt sweetness; with solid strength. Taste of tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, apricot, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, floral, grass, cracker, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Good amount of pine/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, apricot, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, cracker, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and complexity of bright citrus/tropical/piney hops and light-moderate pale malt sweetness; with a crisp bitterness/sweetness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and light-medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly sticky/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with zero warming present as expected of 4.8%. Overall this is a very good session IPA. All around good complexity and balance of bright citrus/tropical/piney hops and light-moderate pale malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Decent session IPA. Aroma was very weak. Near non-existent. Lemon, grains and a hint of grass. Pour was a cloudy light gold with a thin white film for a head. Taste was a little watery but lightly refreshing. Sweet grains and light malt with very little hop flavor. Light finish of fresh cut grass. Nice strong carbonation make this a beer refreshing if not very tasty.

12oz bottle poured into a shaker glass. Slightly hazy golden yellow color with a small bu steady white head. Fruity nose - citrus peel, tropical notes, papaya, grapefruit. Light malt, juicy hop flavors, great fruitiness, medium bitterness. Dry, highly drinkable, light bodied and quenching. Nice.
