Gold pour with a lush white head. Aroma is caramel and resinous hops. Nice hoppy citric flavor with a decent malt backbone

Bomber from Half Time. Pours copper with a creamy/bubbly off-white head. Aroma is floral over roasted caramel. Like a light barley wine (of which there are none). Full bodied. Flavor is brown sugar roast caramel with a heck of a lot of resin/floral/citrus hop. There is enough hop to burn mouth tissue. The body is huge, the hop is huge, the impact is huge. The beer of a lifetime. Finishes with light sweet caramel, but an overwhelming amount of hop. Balanced? Drown me in this. I can’t tell.

Bomber from ABC. Murky orange pour with a sparse light tan head. Aroma is pine and citrus hops. Tastes are a pleasant mix of grass, caramel, pine, juicy citrus, resin, and toast. Medium texture with a spark of carbonation in the finish. Alcohol is there, but not in the way. Surprisingly good.

Bottle: The aroma consists of caramel, fruit, and citrusy/grapefruit hops. It pours a transparent amber with a three finger orange-tinged off-white head with excellent retention. A lot of webbing is left behind on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with moderately fruity with some peach. There’s some caramel in the background. The finish has light-moderate grapefruit hops. It’s medium bodied with mild carbonation and a slick mouthfeel. Overall, I could use more hops to balance out the sweetness.

Pours nice dark amber out of the bottle, with great lacing and a significant head. Aroma is nice, the citrus and floral notes you would expect from a double IPA. Taste leaves something to be imagined though and falls slightly short of expectations. But I did find it actually got better the warmer it got, and was most enjoyable at room temperature.

Location: 22 oz bottle from State Line, 4/21/12

Aroma: Has a mostly fruity/citrus aroma, with grapefruit, orange, and mango notes
Appearance: It pours a hazed orange color with a small off-white head and light, drippy lace
Flavor: The taste is medium sweet from the citrus fruits, with a later mid-plus pine hop bitterness
Palate: The body is medium-plus, with a slightly creamy, slick feel, average carbonation, and a dry finish
Overall Impression: I actually thought that this was a really nice, citrus hopped, DIPA. It had an on-style balance between the sweetness and the hop bitterness. This one was a very solid offering.

Moderate robust hop aroma. Clear orange color with a large off white head. Light sweet beginning with a strong bitter resin hop finish.

Pours a golden yellow with good clarity. Aroma of light fruit taste is malty with a subtle citrus Apricot flavor that quickly blends into a bitter caramel flavor. Hop bite is intense but nicely offset by the malt. A little wet but good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
